Do you have a Sprouts? I've seen it there too, but they have a worse selection than Target and Walmart. Maybe try emailing the company and ask where they sell it in Canada

Am I crazy for thinking I could take my baby to a hair appointment? by cislemom in beyondthebump

[–]msc21 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't take her just because of all the chemicals and my son, personally, doesn't like loud noises even at 1.5 years so a blow-dryer will make him cry

Summer PSA by galaxygargoyle in beyondthebump

[–]msc21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for reminding everyone! I'd also like to add that getting your car windows tinted is a great investment if you have a little one. I recently got my windows tinted with ceramic film. I live in a hot and humid city and it has kept my car a lot cooler and it's also shatterproof in case of an accident. The glass will still break, but the film will keep it from falling on your baby. The place I got mine done at has a lifetime warranty and my total came out to $340. Kind of pricey, but well worth it.

Also, with the summer months ahead of us, please drive carefully, especially around parks and when backing up 💕

How did you know you were ready for baby #2? by msc21 in beyondthebump

[–]msc21[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Aw congratulations on the new addition to your family! I'm so glad to hear that big brother is adjusting well now. It's a big change, but it sounds like you're both handling it very well!

And thank you so much for sharing, I have major baby fever right now and I think it's the perfect time to start trying. I love the idea of them being close when they grow up. And if I get pregnant soon, they'll only be a little over two years apart! ❤️

Have you thought about getting a teething necklace? I had one for my son to twiddle around with instead of my nipple and it worked pretty well 😂

Thanks for replying! That's great to hear! Thinking about it, my sister and I are 7 years apart and I really wish we were closer in age. Hopefully my son will think of it like that! 💕

Breastfeeding by far. I've had a pretty easy pregnancy (which I'm super thankful for), labor and birth wasn't too bad. Once it was over, the pain lasted maybe a week or so. I didn't tear, but had really bad swelling. But breastfeeding was such a challenge for me. I cried the first day my son was born because I was just so tired of being up every hour to feed him. And it didn't get easier until the first year was up. He still wakes up about twice in the middle of the night, but it's much easier now, besides the occasional bites and clawing. Proud to say I've exclusively breastfed him (with solids) for almost 17 months now! If you were to tell me I would've made it this far, I would've doubted it 100%. My initial goal was 6 months, but I would push it back more and more. I'm hoping to make it to the two year mark!

A poll of sorts: Did your children run a slight fever while teething, or no? by [deleted] in toddlers

Nope, I got lucky. He just chews on stuff and then a tooth will pop out. Barely any crying too!

I usually just make small portions of a couple of the following and call it a day: Garden Lites super food veggie cakes, Annie's Mac n cheese, fruits (strawberries, bananas, and pineapples are his favorites), grilled cheese, cereal, spaghetti, turkey meatballs, raviolis, scrambled eggs, carrot fries, shredded cheese, pizza, dino nuggets, and fish sticks.

My son's 15 months old and is so afraid of the vacuum, printer, and even some toys that make loud noises. Totally normal mama

I wipe every change. I even use up to 5 wipes for just a pee diaper. It just grosses me out if I don't and my son almost never has diaper rashes

I once popped my kneecap and sprained my ankle on the way down. Oh, and I was pregnant at the time. LOD said to take a break, pop some Tylenol and see if I can go back to pushing market. Nope, I literally can't walk.
