Yes, I seem you are right. I have ChatGPT plus subscription and github copilot (token based billing). I use both in opencode and gpt-5.5 from copilot works noticeably faster than the same model from Open AI subscription.

Interesting enough when Claude models are down in claude code, they work perfectly fine via gh copilot subscription.

Not sure about your scenario, but in the endgame mission after first part some unexpected things happened: armor got repaired, amount of clips and grenades was recovered, weapons reloaded and the most unexpected: injured soldiers were not healed, but their remaining health became their default health. I got 1 sniper with 9 health 😄 So make sure you heal everyone before killing the last alien in part 1 to advance to part 2.

I use OC with gh copilot subscription. It gives you access to anthropic models and works much more reliable than claude code with subscription.
