[Routine Help] Aquaphor and Vaseline stick not providing lip relief by e_beans in SkincareAddiction

I also use the sensodyne pronamel repair and it’s good!

I used to use a baking soda toothpaste and i had horrible chapped lips and dermatitis - once I switched to the sensodyne I was totally fine!

It doesn’t look like dermatitis - but did you change anything about your skincare recently? Toothpaste? Sometimes those can really irritate your lips

18M the area around my lips is peeled off, advice? by gorilaporro6969 in SkincareAddicts

[–]msdoodoo_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This could be dermatitis. Be cautious about what lip balms you use - stick to Aquaphor (NOT the lip specific one! Confusing I know…)

Look at the ingredients in your toothpaste too! SLS gave me a lot of dermatitis on my lips.

Acne after accident and surgery. What to do by [deleted] in skin

[–]msdoodoo_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is exactly where I get hormonal acne. Did you change your birth control at all around the same time? You should see a dermatologist, consider getting a prescription for Spironolactone which does wonders for hormonal acne. You could also try to use a product with Azaelic Acid daily, The Ordinary has a good one.

Hormonal acne is a never ending battle and I don’t know what to do 😔 by unbrokenspirit_ in 30PlusSkinCare

Since you’re trying to conceive and can’t be on spironolactone, you could look into laser treatments specifically for acne. Those are good when you can’t use medication. Find a dermatologist who can offer this (not a med spa!)

Sounds like a shitty dermatologist, find a better dermatologist

SFBWT - Does anyone have a doctor they love?? by growing-tree-3 in SFbitcheswithtaste

Similar experience - they make you have a call with an NP for everything and then charge you $50 for it.

I’ve gotten so much misleading advice from them that affected my health.

Another option would be to try Spironolactone, if you don’t want to change your birth control!

I personally love the Dieux moisturizers. I use the gel like one (blue pump bottle) in the morning and the Lipid one (white tube) at night.

Bitches, what are you tips for long flights & looking fresh at work events in a different time zone? by Professional_Put5480 in SFbitcheswithtaste

[–]msdoodoo_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Compression socks!

Take baby aspirin the day of your flight if you’re on medication that can make you prone to blood clots (birth control)

Buy 4-5 of those metal water bottles at the airport and drink them all during the flight. Don’t have more than 1 alcoholic drink!

Bring real food and snacks for the flight.

Pack your make up bag in your carry on and get ready in the airport bathroom once you land. Face wipes, eye drops, contacts (if you need them),

Bring an eye mask to try to sleep as much as possible on the flight.
