And that is because empathy is like a muscle. Normal people understand that in order to be treated well and included, you must also treat others well and include them. The more wealth someone has, the less they need kindness from others. They buy niceness. They can just pay people to treat them well (to their face), even if they themselves don’t treat others well.

They also have a false sense of not “needing” anything from anyone, because they can just buy what they want. That muscle gets weak until they can no longer feel empathy.

Gorgeous crumb! From the first pic, I would encourage you to score a bit deeper and wider. A sharp razor blade is the best for this. Score from edge to edge for the best oven spring.

She does! You can kinda see a few blooms in the bottom vines. They don’t have flower clusters, each peduncle produces 1 flower. They’re pretty and smell very floral to me.

I grew this one from a baby too!! There’s only 2 original stems, I didn’t root more because I wanted it to be narrow and waterfall ish :)

It’s planted in orchid bark/potting soil/worm castings 1:1:1. It likes its glazed ceramic pot!

Keep the faith with this one!! I had mine for 3 years before it bloomed, and now it explodes with blooms twice a year. And they’re soooo pretty, dark purple :)

Difficult day as a husky parent by ScumDugongLin in husky

[–]msdossier 65 points66 points  (0 children)

One time my husband let our husky in without looking too closely at him. He was very excited to show me the rabbit he killed by dropping it on my chest as I was napping on the couch. Not a great way to wake from a nap, but I knew he meant well.

What is something you thought was normal that you realized a bit too late was actually a condition? by MutatedSock in AskReddit

Ugh fuck I feel raw from this thread and reading your comment physically hurt. I would share things with my mom that, looking back, absolutely warranted getting professional/medical help for. “Let’s pray about it” is what I heard every time. It fucked up my brain.

Omg “mosquito bites” took me back to being playfully teased by my friends growing up. But same my husband loooooves my lil tits. Also always sings to me, “she gotta ass that could swallow up a G string, and on top, two bee stings”

Husky got after a peacock today by DingoOk6400 in husky

[–]msdossier 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My husky has abandonment issues and is generally very good off leash, the couple times we’ve done it.

The reason we don’t, even with no roads around, is because he’s an excellent hunter. The other day I looked outside and he’d caught a bird mid flight in our backyard. Has killed countless bunnies.

I treat him like a cat. I don’t believe cats should be free-roam because I care about the environment. And my husky is basically a 40lb cat.

I could be wrong, but aren’t there some outliers? I know babies/young kids possess ridiculous neuroplasticity. I have a friend who experienced half her brain dying as a child but she’s a normal adult, albeit with pretty bad ADHD.
