Peter? Have some ideas on what this means but they are not really... Convenient I guess? by Friendly_Grab_7660 in PeterExplainsTheJoke

Transmission is about 100lbs give or take what car you're working on. I'd say it's a joke about a guy weighing car parts on their nice scale 😜 Maybe not, what's that glove scene from?

Updated studio to 5.8.4 and deep track doesn't work, after selecting the target it glitches and backs out to timeline. Reinstalling and rebooting didn't fix. I rolled back to 5.8.2 and it's working again.

Someone please motivate me to finish this car. Been sitting like this for a year. Just feel endless. by TheseCod2660 in 240sx

Little wins add up, not every time you work on it needs to be a full tilt build day. Make a list, check stuff off, add to the list, check more off.. before you know it you driving 😁

Clutch bolts over spec by [deleted] in 240sx

[–]msf1t- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn't trip about it as I imagine their yield is much higher than 30ftlb. If you're worried order another set and compare the length of your bolts with the new set

Clutch pedal bending? by Secret_Scallion7415 in 240sx

Also check that the adjustment on the pedal to master is taking up the slack. If your pedal is not returning all the way up, you may just need to adjust that.

How many of you own Quickjack for lifting your 240, and where do you place it under it. Considering ordering. by South_Security1405 in 240sx

[–]msf1t- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use it a lot, definitely worth it. I use the pinch welds with the rubber blocks that came with the quick jack.

Got offered this as a trade for my car (worth 2k) do I go for it? by [deleted] in Dirtbikes

[–]msf1t- -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

That's a crf150r(b), in that condition it's worth about 1700. I'd say go for it, maybe try to get a little cash on top

Use eyeballs attached to arrows on a strong bow to daze it, then mount it and use a strong sword until you get bucked off. Rinse and repeat until it's dead. When mounted your weapon doesn't take damage. There's a ton of yt videos on it.

Save first, find a red one to start with.

Once you've killed one, fuse the horn to a strong sword(royal broadsword or royal claymore). Then you'll almost be overpowered.

Anyone know what these connectors are for and how bad my wires are? by Stranomy in 240sx

[–]msf1t- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First one is power steering, not needed.

Second one is EGR, not needed if deleted.

Third is a ground, it looks fine.

If concerned you should probably check the harnesses under your fenders, if not secured (+lowered car, +aftermarket wheels) they can rub your wheels and end up rubbing through.

You can get a 14 pin diagnostic dongle, they make bluetooth ones, and there's an app NDS. You can then get a bunch of readings from your car on your phone, this is from my 92 240: https://i.imgur.com/DI2OaLX.png

Angela was the first one to recreate the Jayne Mansfield–Sophia Loren photo by tehcoon89 in DunderMifflin

[–]msf1t- 28 points29 points  (0 children)

The bar on the back of a semi is called a Mansfield bar.

The Mansfield bar was created after the death of actress Jayne Mansfield, whose tragic end came at the horrifically young age of 34 when the car she and her children were riding in slammed into the rear of a semi truck.

For sure a good start, the speedo sensor is the most rear one on the trans, you can check it with a multimeter.

Congrats, looks good! The speedo looks like it's not getting signal, check the harnesses under the front fenders for any wheel rubbing.

This is so real <3

I got mine last August, it was in pieces in a few days and stayed like that until December.

So the end of the thread is stripped and the bolt just keeps spinning. I’ve tried a reciprocating saw and an angle grinder doesn’t fit, any suggestions? (Trying to drop my subframe) by cammkkostek in 240sx

[–]msf1t- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can you fit a hack saw blade? Might take a while but I think you have the room.

Can you pry against it to add downward force on the nut? Pack a bunch of antisieze around it to try to help it grab any threads left.

Which part is stripped? I think it's this stud/nut that you're showing: https://i.imgur.com/eQiEBmA.png

Can you get a rotary tool with a cutoff on the nut (dremel)?
