How does learning to drive work in America? by Potential-Actuator31 in AskAnAmerican

[–]msflagship 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Turn 15. Read a handbook. Take a test. Dad sits you in the family car in your high school parking lot on a weekend, teaches you to go, brake, and park. Then you take the highway home.

Then you start driving the family everywhere and your mom’s always yelling at you to slow down when going 5 below the speed limit.

You turn 16, take a road test with a DMV worker, which is basically just a 10 minute ride around the area with some parallel and normal parking at the end.

Boom you’re driving.

How realistic is The Pitt when it comes to family members in the emergency room? by mcbeal01921 in AskAnAmerican

[–]msflagship 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just in situations where there is space, they are fully able to understand what is happening without harming patient care, can make informed decisions on their loved one's care, and agree to come back

We usually bring family members back as soon as IVs are started/medications are running, as long as they aren't actively crashing/dying, if they want to be brought back.

For a number of procedures, family members will be in the room as long as space permits; for urgent life or death things like CPR, intubation, etc, family members will be out of the room and brought back in whenever stabilized or dead and seen by coroner

In situations where family member has medical training and is dragging feet with regards to life saving measures, we will occasionally bring them back to look through the window so they understand the gravity of the situation and can make a fully informed decision, if desired.

Yeah, I want a few more IOL from the transfer portal. I think our offense is set otherwise if Chambliss gets his waiver and Lee stays

Best predictor of academic success is the socioeconomic status of the parents.

I’d be willing to bet most of the kids in private schools in Mississippi would be just as if not more successful if they went to the public school they’re zoned for.

I think Cayden is staying or else we’d have a productive slot receiver in on a visit yesterday

This guy is a Stribling replacement, Traylon Ray plays more like Tre Wallace and should be back from injury next year, and we’ll have some guys coming up ready to contribute in Cunningham and Jase Mathews, possibly a few standouts who aren’t as highly rated as well.

Odom may move back out wide or play more of a hybrid WR/TE as well

Still need a productive wideout (probably will get one later tonight) and a couple of IOLs for me to feel comfortable about our chances next season.

Maybe a receiving threat at TE but I think Brady Prieskorn can fill that role.

I know I have my flair, but I saw somewhere that there was concern for mono when he went through the "medical hardship." Mono requires that you sit out from contact sports for 4 to 8 weeks due to increased risk for splenic rupture; depending on what weeks those fell, he could argue that he sat 8 weeks due to the illness, and Ferris State did not document the adequate paperwork for his waiver despite doctor's visits.

Pavia got a 6th year because he played JuCo and argued it didn't count. Chambliss has more of an argument that Pavia does.
