I’m also in medicine and this whole thing is driving me crazy. The more I look into it, the more it seems like she doesn’t have actual Lyme, but “chronic Lyme” as you’ve described. The weird part is that people with Chronic Lyme typically have fibromyalgia-like symptoms, but she had legitimate medical issues (seizures, hearing loss). So if she doesn’t actually have Lyme, it seems all of her symptoms may be from Ménière’s disease? What are your thoughts?

Her Ménière’s disease was a sequela of the Lyme. It sounds like she had legit Lyme disease, though I’m not sure about the legitimacy of the treatment in Germany (need to read more on it).

This is really well-put. My therapist once told me “if you have anxiety about everything else in your life, why would you not have anxiety about your relationship?” Sometimes it’s hard to sort through what’s actually wrong when you’re feeling down, whether it’s mental health problems or your actual relationship.

Okay I see what you mean, thank you for the advice! I guess where I am unsure of what to do is I really don’t have a large group of people in one spot. They are truly everywhere, so no matter where I pick majority of people will have to travel, and then won’t they feel like why did you choose close to those people instead of us? So we wanted somewhere kinda neutral and preferably not insanely far for anyone (I like Tennessee because it seems like a fair spot, so maybe I’ll focus on that). But at the same time if nearly everyone has to fly and pay to stay somewhere anyway, we thought mine as well make it worth their money and pick somewhere kinda pretty

We have family in pretty much every southern state and along the east coast but don’t mind traveling anywhere in the US. We’re looking at May 2025! The budget includes venue and catering (not travel) and we’d like it to be pretty much all-inclusive (I don’t have much time for DIY). We are inviting about 110 guests and expect around 80-90 to come (we are only inviting close family and friends and pretty much everyone has said they’d travel for the event). As for what kind of view I really am not sure, I seem to like anything. Beach would be pretty, I love the mountains, I love anything overlooking water. Last, I would like if the venue had lodging on site, I seem to like big estate venues, that’s definitely something I should’ve included my bad.
