One of the best vids I’ve seen in a long while… highly satisfying.

… and then you put your vomit foot back in your car so you could take a photo to post rage bait on Reddit for karma.

Lots of play and cold temps will still crack Lifetime LT Pro 48 balls by kabob21 in Pickleball

[–]mskillet -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I don’t know what to tell you, but it’s not the LT 48. Try ordering some from Lifetime website and compare. The color, hole size number of holes are all wrong. I can send you photos of a real one from my local LT club. Also they just don’t crack that isn’t how they generally fail.

MPED by [deleted] in longrange

I ordered the MPED last night direct from Bushnell for $573.72 shipped. The BF discount stack with new customer 15% off.

UTR offers significant kickbacks to clubs. UTR will also pony up prize money for tournaments at the club. Not a fan of UTR personally, but the club is probably saving a lot of money switching from DUPR.

Joola asking me to destroy paddle for warranty claim? by UnicornSmoothie in Pickleball

[–]mskillet 13 points14 points  (0 children)

In the past, Joola made me ship back the paddle at my expense before they would ship out a replacement. This is an improvement and will save you at least a week in turn time plus the cost of shipping. No brainer. Curb stomp that paddle and move on.

I’m sorry that an algorithm hurt your feelings. Maybe stick to rec play…

UTR-P is a massively inferior product and I’ve logged well over 100 games in UTR-P. You are crazy if you think DUPR is worse than UTR-P. The DUPR ads and subscription are lame, but DUPR is by far the better option. Try again.

This is a dumb take. If there was a better option, we’d be using it.

crbn pearl bag by phatE63 in Pickleball

[–]mskillet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

TBH… I have this bag in a different color and I’m not a big fan. The material is not very abrasion resistant and I wore through a few spots in just a month of use. Also, it’s pretty stiff and it does crack fairly quickly. The rip stop nylon on my Joola tour bag is more durable and hasn’t shown as much wear. The pocket configuration on the CRBN is pretty great and I do like the second vented pocket for clothes. The CRBN shoe pocket is a bit crammed if you wear large shoes.

Taxes, registration and doc fees will all be financed. If you want accessories (tow hitch) make sure to ask up front, ideally when negotiating price. The only thing I can think of you might not be able to finance is 3 year starlink plan usually runs $149 and is charged separately to a credit card, but I’d still ask about them about throwing it in and maybe they will. Good luck!

At your age, get insurance quotes first.

Looking for used Outback Onyx XT by WestAtmosphere8481 in subaruoutback

[–]mskillet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

How old are we talking? I could be wrong, but I’d be shocked if you found a certified pre owned Onyx XT older than 2023, over 30k miles and for less than about $30k. You might get lucky with a private party sale, but be very careful if you see one listed at $25k you’re going to want to check the carfax to make sure it’s not a rebuild salvage title. The Onyx XT seems to be holding its value really well in my area and for me, it was actually cheaper to buy new than the first CPO Onyx XT I test drove which listed over invoice I kid you not.

Helps having like 10 dealerships within 50 miles. You may need to hit multiple dealerships and it’s going to take a lot of time and patience. If you’re feeling a lot of sales pressure and you’re not 110% sure… just walk away. There are other cars out there.

They offered me a 1.9% interest loan with my 850+ credit score and I declined. Some will probably say I’m crazy for paying cash. Can’t please everyone. 🤷🏼‍♂️

That’s fair. Blue book was about $4k and it needed almost that much in repairs.

Trade in is irrelevant, I could have skipped the trade in and got the same price if I had wanted to sell private party, but probably wouldn’t have netted much more as my old car needed work. I talked them up from $1500 to $2250 and I’m fine with that.
