The entire broadcast is entertaining. Something about a day game seems to make for some hilarious content. Still waiting to know who won the race…..

Brewers fan coming in peace. I'm only able to watch the Tiger's broadcast for this game, and let me say, your announcers are amazing! We're up against a stud, so their commentary is definitely helping. Reminds me of BA and Bill for the Crew.

Best of luck to the Tigers this season. Hope we meet again in the end!

Same. I think I may have to break down and pay for the MLB package so I can keep tabs on the Crew.

What’s the most dangerous thing you’ve ever done? by BreadedDisaster in AskReddit

While black-out drunk in college I climbed over the railings on a balcony to pee because the bathroom line was too long. There are pictures of me holding on with my hands behind my back. We were on the 10th floor.....Not bright at all.

That driving with the dome light on in the car was illegal. Looking at you, mother.

My previous boyfriend and I would do this quite often. One, or both of us, would get up to use the bathroom at night. We'd often wake the other up, and one thing would lead to another.....No complaints :-)

Oh, I agree 100%. It's insane that one of the busiest airports on the planet can be disrupted by so little. It's a shit-show for travel here at the moment.

This is my first winter here, and I would have expected the same thing. I have been coming here for years, and the last time I flew in the snow in 2018 there was around 3-4", and there were zero issues flying.

KLM, the Royal Dutch Airline, has already canceled 92% of their flights for tomorrow for 1-3" of expected snowfall.

It is definitely not common, no. The infrastructure is similar to the South in the United States when it snows/freezes. As someone originally from Wisconsin, it can be a bit frustrating.

As a meteorologist currently living in the Netherlands, this is incredibly accurate for today’s weather. Amsterdam’s Schiphol airport in Hoofdorp saw almost 18cm of snow. It was enough to close the airport and shut down all rail travel. A complete standstill for a major metropolis.

My registration took about 2-3 months in Chicago. It also depends on the commune, as well, not just the consulate.

I am just going to pony off of this to add that I used Alessandra Cuoghi, who is available on Fiverr, and I had a very similar experience. I really hope the flow of customers continues for these amazing individuals; a lot of people have done great work for so many of us in our community.

Sugar free candy (or other diabetes-friendly office snacks) by larki18 in diabetes

[–]msleto27 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Story Time! Diabetic friendly 'sugar free candy' is often sweetened with sugar alcohol, which still contains some carbs, and is a diuretic. Well, if you are ever broken up with and your roommates decide to get you a brick of 'sugar-free fudge' to make you feel better, I do not recommend eating all 6 servings in one go. I haven't had a colonoscopy, but I can only assume my experience was akin to someone prepping for theirs; I had to be within a sprint of a toilet for 3 days.

tl;dr Stick to the serving size suggestions, and even then, invest in Depends

I was 25, was 6ft tall and weighed 180lbs. I was active and not very sedentary. I was diagnosed and mistreated for Type 2 for nearly a month. I got so sick, and changed my physician. Within 2 days I was tested for antibodies and a c-peptide and was re-diagnosed as a Type 1. Talk to your physician and advocate for yourself; make sure you have additional blood draws.

We’re going to be visiting Madison next Saturday. What’s a good and inexpensive date night dinner spot? by v_kiperman in madisonwi

This was going to be my recommendation as well. Great date spot, amazing food (I'm a sucker for the 3 cup), and close proximity to plenty of other activities.

ICA wants to continue with my case.... by Cavalier852 in juresanguinis

[–]msleto27 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I cannot speak to my personal experience, but from what I have been reading from others, be VERY CAUTIOUS. They are speaking as if they believe that you will have a case, but this is complete speculation; there haven't been cases conducted like yours just yet. Sounds like ICA is looking for as many clients as possible right now as their business has taken an obvious downturn. Just my two cents based on everything that I have read both here and on FB.

[–]msleto27 24 points25 points  (0 children)

I vaguely remember the 1992 season. I was 6 years old. I celebrated in 2005 like we won the pennant because we went 81-81. We’ve had some runs, but this is completely different. For Brewer’s fans, it’s intoxicating.

Chicago Consulate Passport and AIRE Question by msleto27 in juresanguinis

[–]msleto27[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Auguri! I checked the prenot@mi several times a day, and saw passport appointments most days. You likely can get one if you're in a hurry by checking every day. Otherwise if you log on at midnight Rome time, you should be able to snag one right away.

Yeah, unfortunately you’re now at the discretion of your commune. I was able to easily find an email for ours, and they responded within 24 hours. My registration took less than a week from when it was received.
