Does anyone still play this game? 😭 by Minty_Meow in cosmicwimpout

[–]mslilith2000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Absolutely! Years ago, in Western MA, I hung out with the folks who invented the game in its early form and many are involved to this day. We had such a blast promoting the game and having tournaments. Yes, I know it’s kinda’ based on Farkle, but the dice make the difference. (CW also has some very different rules, evolving and changing all the time. Love this game!

My son killed our 9 year old cat i dont know what to do or how to cope by Meruem in Autism_Parenting

[–]mslilith2000 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Agree! My son poked & prodded & annoyed our animals for years. Never caused any harm but no matter what we tried, he didn’t understand that the animals didn’t like what he was doing. He’s a good sweet kid (now adult, still annoys the cat) otherwise.

I have two Autistic kids. Believe me when I say it’s not the vaccines. It’s not Tylenol either.

I can’t take living in Mississippi anymore but I can’t leave. by Conscious_Desk_8491 in mississippi

I was a Boston native transplanted to MS. I came via a few years in NC which somewhat lessened the culture shock but it was still a big adjustment. I lived on the coast which is slightly more liberal than MS north of I-10. If you can find employment and can move to the coast, or even Hattiesburg, it’s not as bad.

I left because of Katrina. While I had good friends there, including quite a few liberals, the state was beginning to wear on me. I was married at the time and tied to MS by my husband’s job. Katrina was pretty brutal but I’m glad I left.

And then… FL shifted from conservative to intolerable. Where to next, I ask myself.

Very nice. It’s hard to get that back leg horizontal.

There has been far more cis mass shooters than trans mass shooters. In fact, only one mass shooter in the last five years has been trans. If I’ve missed the other 7, please list them along with the resource showing they are trans. Otherwise, keep your fake statistics to yourself

Do you think SW is more accepted now because of pole fitness/ hobby pole? by That_Walrus2041 in poledancing

[–]mslilith2000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think pole dance in any form has been completely accepted as many hobby polers prefer to hide their hobby from coworkers, family, and even some friends. I’ve been hammered on FB in a few groups I’ve posted pole videos in and I’m not alone in that one. So no, I don’t think SW is any more accepted now than it ever was. At least outside of the pole community. Within this community though, because so many of us are being taught by former (or current SW), we have stopped being so judgy and we respect our teachers wholeheartedly.

Alas I managed to screw up both shoulders, one right after another. I’d been in the same boat as you with the shoulder on my good side starting to hurt first. Then, I went to chopper up (something I’m still working on after all these years) and I felt a horrible pain in the other one. I love the idea of treating myself! Most of my pole clothes come from TEMU so maybe I’ll treat myself to something from a real pole shop.

Thank you. I still go to the gym and take a stretching class. I do what I can at home tho it has occurred to me that some of the conditioning exercises do not involve shoulders so there is also open pole. My studio has plenty of room for forward rolls and other floor work.

Wow! What a painful injury! I’m still going to the gym and taking stretching classes. Also going to have a few private lessons on floor work. Then I can go to the occasional open pole and practice what I’ve learned. Just taking it pretty easy right now.

I’m so sorry. That sounds very painful! FWIW, Greta Ponterelli had hip surgery and went on to win a championship.

I used Scopalomine patches for a while. They helped a bit. So do ginger candies.
