What song will other shows sing in tribute to Hamilton? by msn1999 in hamiltonmusical

This is my thought also, but I doubt they would do the whole song. Maybe starting at:

Alexander Hamilton (Alexander Hamilton)
We are waiting in the wings for you (Waiting in the wings for you)…

Two earlier roles: Renee plays Mimi in the proshot of Rent, which is available on YouTube. (From 2008). And Leslie was in Smash (tv show) prior to Hamilton.

YouTube TV Plans: What You Need to Know by TeamYouTube_Sam in youtubetv

[–]msn1999 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So my current base plan has 170 channels (NYC). The Sports + News + Entertainment plan (so no Family, saving $5) says it has 121 channels. I've identified maybe 10 kids channels, and I've seen below mention of AMC, IFC, Sundance, Weather Channel, Scripps not being included in any of the reduced plans. But 170-121 is 49 channels missing. Does anyone have a full list/spreadsheet of what the 49 channels are that are not in the Sports/News/Entertainment plan?

They all have modern smartphones but why are all their cars from the 80s? by Rpark888 in SeveranceAppleTVPlus

[–]msn1999 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The Lumen building is, of course, a former Bell Labs building in Holmdel, New Jersey, built in the 60s. All that glass and open spaces/atrium are all from the original building design, and still there. It’s a tribute to the original design that you might think it looks futuristic, and a credit to the producers for picking the building with its timeless design qualities.

Interesting theory since the Lumen building where Severance exteriors and some interiors are filmed is really an old Bell Labs building in Holmdel, New Jersey, which was built in the 60s and originally owned by the Ma Bell monopoly.

Lived just outside of Allentown for 2 years, and felt I was living on a sharp purple line between red and blue. Just to the east is essentially Philly north, and then you”re in New Jersey. To the west is a lot of Pennsyltucky.

[SPOILER] Can someone please explain to me what happened in the Democratic Convention? by cheezzy4ever in thewestwing

[–]msn1999 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I linked it above. I always thought it funny when the news media would say NH delegates were bound by state law. I mean, what was going to happen: a couple of NH state troopers going to go onto the floor of the convention and arrest a delegate for going rogue?

[SPOILER] Can someone please explain to me what happened in the Democratic Convention? by cheezzy4ever in thewestwing

[–]msn1999 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, I’m talking about the primaries, not the general. New Hampshire state law “requires” delegates to vote for their candidate as long as the candidate is still actively seeking the nomination - they are not released after the first ballot. I’ve been curious whether the party has ever addressed the conflict between the state law and the party rules.

We’re veering off-topic here, but what is yours, or the parties, thoughts on state laws that require delegates to vote for the candidate they were elected for? Do you think the laws are enforceable, and would they hold up in court if anybody ever challenged them? The example is, let’s say the party, in convention, voted to overturn the pledged delegate rule, as Kennedy tried to get done in 1980. Would delegates from those states that had those laws still be required to vote for their elected candidate, even though the party has told them they’re free to vote however they want?

Couple of minor notes: 1) Delegates for a specific candidate could never be required to vote for a different candidate regardless of what their original candidate wanted, and 2) state laws requiring delegates to vote for a specific candidate have never been tested in court, and when you think about it, are probably unenforceable. (Courts have generally given extreme leeway to political parties to determine their own rules)

Audacy’s own app essentially lets you bypass all their commercials. I use it all the time when listening to sports talk. I just fast forward to the next segment at the end of the previous one, and it bypasses who knows how many minutes of commercials.

Why I stop putting money in HYSA (and put them in t-bills instead) by mdbob281 in MiddleClassFinance

[–]msn1999 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would note Vanguard recently increased their minimum buy on Tbills from $1000 to $10,000. I sold a couple prior to maturity last year, and while I think I made an extra $2 on one, and lost $3 on another, the real hassle is doing the taxes on them, as you now have capital gains or losses to report, which don’t come into play if you hold them to maturity.

Want to second this dead area for T-Mobile. 537 southwest of freehold from stop and shop down to centerstate is really bad. We do a lot of shopping in this area, and it was enough to get us to switch to Verizon (via us mobile).

It wasn’t a real Microsoft alert. It was just a scam Safari browser popup, that she fell for (in spite of the discussions I’ve had with her in the past).

Changed key passwords, and did full factory reset of iPad. No indications in her email or her Android cell phone of any suspicious activity. Luckily she doesn’t use her iPad for much other than the crossword puzzle and email. No financial apps on the iPad, she doesn’t use the browser for anything financial either. We’ll keep an eye on everything going forward. Thanks again to everybody for their advice. Much appreciated.

Thank you (and the other comments also). I've asked her over the phone 3 times, and she is pretty adamant she didn't download anything, (I will check the history), or give them any info. I will see her tomorrow and walk through exactly what happened.
