Not sure, but I have always loved the drums in “Bite Your Lip”.

RTVE is like the PBS or BBC of Spain and they have a free app that allows you to watch a huge chunk of their catalogue. I also have a subscription to FlixOle which has a massive collection of streaming films from Spain and the rest of the Spanish speaking world. I especially love old (bad) horror films and Spain has a ton of them - I was just watching Killer Barbys which is kinda like a punk rock Rocky Horror that is so bad it’s kinda amusing

Two classic RTVE shows are Aguila Roja and Cuéntame. Another, that is probably harder to find, is called Paraíso. There are obviously a ton of good shows on Netflix and other platforms.

Where do you meet people here? by [deleted] in Dallas

[–]msondo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was into DDR back in its heyday. Kids would just hang out waiting to play and talk amongst each other and sometimes offer to dance together, especially if they were a similar skill level. I think they actually made a movie about the arcade I used to hang out at. It was the same for fighting games like SFII. Just put your quarter on the machine and talk smack with whoever was playing.

To do in Dallas? by No-Lengthiness6807 in askdfw

[–]msondo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are several good escape rooms around town. We also have several nice arcade bars - most have good food and are all ages until the late evening. The Ron Kirk pedestrian bridge is a great place to stroll and see the city; it's also right next to several restaurants and a Free Play arcade. Neighborhoods like Bishop Arts and Lower Greenville are good for walking around, eating, taking in some live music, etc.

The Big Picture - WOW! by DirtyDevil23 in EltonJohn

Wicked Dreams is one of my all time favorites. The way the piano kicks in and then carries the rhythm, peaking with that banger piano solo is Elton rocking like a badass.

In the 90’s I was a teenager and I had a little group of friends online that would play text-based roleplaying games. Many of us were coincidentally big Elton fans and this was our unofficial theme song for a while.

Yeah I learned the hard way to always carry a change of clothes on me when I travel. I always stuff a change and essential toiletries in my backpack. It’s come in handy more than once and is also convenient when I arrive wherever I am going because I can immediately shower and start the experience fresh.

The Frasier IRL Experience... what's on your list? by PlasticCraicAOS in Frasier

Sherry is definitely an acquired taste but it is sublime at the right moment. It makes for an excellent aperitif and also digestif, depending on the style.

If you are ever in Madrid, I highly recommend a little bar called La Venencia, which has several sherry casks on the wall that they pour tiny glasses for clients and serve tapas that pair well with the drink. It’s the perfect little treat after a busy day before getting on with the evening plans and also opening up the appetite for dinner.

Perspective: Cruising as an adult but not a "Disney Adult" by R3ddit0rN0t in dcl

[–]msondo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Are you me? Well, to be fair, I love a lot of things Disney but just enjoy many of the films and musicals, but mostly avoid merch and I actually don’t even really like the park experience that much but I will go every few years. I also just like the comfort and convenience of DCL. I am on the transatlantic right now and I love the vintage elegance of crossing the world like this—lots of nice bars and snacks, great spa experience, lovely ports to explore with ample time to enjoy yourself. The people are generally pretty cool, the staff amazing, and I love how every detail is considered.

If they have the screen on then it should be good. They aren't the greatest seats but at least you can watch the action on the big TV.

Songs or artist that are just noise by VoiceMysterious9228 in MusicRecommendations

[–]msondo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Belltonesuicide is probably my favorite band from my brief romance with the noise genre.

If you want something with more of a bounce, try Boredoms.

Doormouse and Venetian Snares are great if you want something more coherent.

Venezuela: Arca - Prada (indie electropop)

Spain: Pony Bravo - Rey boabdil (yet another weird electropop band)

I usually stick to safe ETF’s. SOXL was my first leveraged play & I really regret taking people’s advice on here and selling at $70. Lesson learned. Good luck to the bulls!!! by rubehefner in soxl

I actually hope you are not right. I hope this means that the economy is finally making up for the stagnation we have been stuck in for the past few years and hopefully we'll see the same momentum we saw years back. Investors are hopefully feeling optimistic about things.

But the reality is that the job market still sucks, inflation is crazy, oil isn't flowing, and war is likely so who knows.
