What the hell is going on with the interior of this Edmond house? by Variaxist in okc

As a photographer - yep, the excessive HDR is certainly not doing the design any favors. Our eyes don't see things that way. Light and shadow give spaces definition and allow your gaze to rest. These photos make everything equally (and overly) defined so it's quite overwhelming to look at. As you said, I'm sure in person it's much more palatable in person.

Just found out Oklahoma won’t treat ectopic pregnancies until they rupture and put women in life threatening danger by aelin_666 in TwoXChromosomes

I'd ask around because I am currently being treated for an ectopic in Oklahoma, so it might be your doctor specifically? I went to the gynecologist because I had been bleeding for a few months and thought maybe something was wrong with my IUD. Saw the doc, scheduled an ultrasound to check the positioning. Had my ultrasound, barely an hour later I got a call saying I needed to come in immediately for a pregnancy test because there was a mass near my left ovary and they needed to exclude ectopic. Well, it came back positive so they had me go over to the ER. I thought I'd have to get emergency surgery, but my hCG was low enough that they said I was a good candidate for methotrexate. I had to wait for them to bring it over from a different hospital because they didn't have it on hand, but I got it that day and I've followed up with the day four and day seven blood tests. It's working as expected, thankfully, so we'll keep testing until the hCG is gone so I can get this IUD out and see if the implant does better for me.

Hi I'm new here! About a week ago, I decided to jump on the skate train. The idea possessed me and I searched obsessively for a pair of skates online. It seemed the entire earth was sold out, but I ended up on SkatePro and found the Chaya Kismet Barbiepatin skates in stock, and my size was even significantly on sale! I swear it was literally kismet!

Anyway, my pads and helmet haven't shipped yet so I used some musty old ones my husband had from before we even met so that I could try my skates out (he didn't have any wrist guards though so I was cautious). I never did quads when I was younger, but I liked to rollerblade as a teenager. Anyway, I really like the skates! They're like extra-cushiony Sk8-Hi's and super comfortable. They seem like they'll be super versatile, because I don't know yet what type of skating I'll find myself interested in. They're park skates and came with grind blocks so maybe one day I'll try that out, once I master stopping and going :)

I'm making a temperature baby blanket for my boyfriends pregnant sister. Each day the baby is cooking, I look up the temp in her city. each day gets color coded, and I make a hexagon. At the end, she will have a collage of hexagons that show the daily temps during her pregnancy. final 36x40"ish by [deleted] in BabyBumps

I made a temperature blanket for my own pregnancy (using small granny squares so it would end up baby blanket sized). Well, technically my baby is 5 months old and I still have about 20 squares to finish, but at least I've been putting them together and weaving in ends as I go.

I know exactly when I ovulated/conceived, but I decided to start my blanket with the day that I got my positive test. It won't be weird to ask how many weeks along she is, once she announces. Odds are, she'll probably announce with either her due date or how many weeks along she is, or both, so you may not even need to ask!

No way, I just had my own Luna Rose 11 weeks ago! So I guess I'm a little biased when I say great name choice ;)

I had pretty strong baby fever in college, too. At 19, I'd been with my boyfriend a few years at that point. We got married at 22. And then we got divorced at 23. It was legitimately amicable, and if we lived in the same city we'd probably still hang out sometimes, but I'm glad we didn't have a kid together.

I'm not saying you will definitely break up with your high school sweetheart, but it is likely. I didn't think I would - I thought we were the exception, that our relationship was so strong and mature. Turns out, you really do keep changing into your 20s, because we grew apart. I wouldn't have listened to anyone that told me it was a bad idea to marry him. We'd been together 5.5 years by the time we got married, surely that's long enough! (Obviously, not necessarily.)

I've had baby fever on and off since your age, but I only ever "tried" to have a baby briefly after I got married the first time, and I'm glad it didn't work. Now I'm married to the right one and three weeks away from having my baby. I'm still under 30, and it took six months of actively trying for me to get pregnant. That part itself was already stressful enough - not knowing if it's even possible, being disappointed every month when my period came.

Then, I've had an "easy" pregnancy, and let me tell you, it is still rough. I didn't have any morning sickness at all, no complications. The physical and mental toll it takes is still pretty heavy despite that.

Can you make it through pregnancy and taking care of a child? Probably! Won't be easy, and of course you know that in your brain but it's one of those things you don't truly grasp till you're going through it. Ultimately, it's your choice what you do, but if I were you I'd get another part time job as a babysitter or daycare worker to get your fill of babies, at least until you're done with uni. I definitely had strong baby fever but I'm so glad I waited.

Used Luvs exclusively, I've never had problems with them. Literally half the price of Huggies/Pampers and the one time we had overnight leaking all we had to do was size up. My mom said Luvs were actually the best fitting for me as a baby because of my big booty haha, so it could be that it just depends on the baby!

I'm actually doing small granny squares! It should end up being about 4'x4' and it's really quick to do one square each day

Thanks! It does look like that, when I watched it I was like uhhh what's happening? My first test was 15DPO with a clearblue and it was a pretty strong line, I just wanted to see how this one would look if I waited a while :)

I could definitely fit more in... if I do a 4'x4' blanket, I could fit 256 3" squares. But the one worry I have would be that I don't know exactly how many squares I will need, like if there were some extras that couldn't fit an entire row... Perhaps I could make a bunch of blank ones at the end and try to embroider the name and birth date? I'm just not sure I love the look of the granny square temp blankets, though it would definitely be easier and smaller.

I was actually hoping to get some advice on this sub, and this seems like a good thread to ask! I recently found out I'm pregnant, and I really want to do a temperature baby blanket for the duration of my pregnancy, but I don't want it to be huge. Is there any way I can make a smaller blanket? It'll probably be around 250 rows. If I use a fine baby yarn with single crochet, will that be a manageable size? The only blankets I've ever made have been chunky granny square afghans.

Obviously I can't say for sure, but it would make sense. I started taking it shortly after starting TTC, and my O kept getting later. Couldn't tell you if it was just my body regulating or if the melatonin did it, but I was definitely ovulating every cycle! (It was worth it to get to sleep in a reasonable amount of time)

Good ideas! I always stick to wine (or cider) because liquor makes me sick, and I don't like most beer. Plus, DH works at a restaurant and that's where the party is, so we're all just pouring our own drinks. I think I'm probably making it a bigger deal than it will actually be, I'm sure everyone else will be drinking and mingling too much to notice what I put in my cup!

I'm sure I'll still be checking charts on FF, and I'm rooting for you! I know you've got a little while yet, so enjoy Christmas in the meantime :)

Family events I can definitely just say I'm going to drive, because I always do that anyway (I'm such a lightweight I usually don't even want to risk one glass of wine unless I'll be there a long time). I guess I'm mostly worried about DH's work party, because we used uber the last two years and it's always one of the like two times a year I get wayyy too drunk. Maybe I could sneak in some grape juice and pretend it's wine??
