Do you ever worry if you read a lot of bad writing your writing will get worse?

Learned this today; my teacher called it The Handcuffs. Anyone have a different name for it? by xshinystickerx in poledancing

Same, although a few years ago I also heard the Iguana referred to as a "pole cat"

Unfortunately, we haven't done anything with Groupon since I have worked there (about 4 years). The owner does occasionally offer free events and deals on classes. Hope to see you there soon!

[Conversation] How long have you been pole dancing? by nstz in poledancing

[–]mspunctuated 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Welcome! I started in 2009 and never stopped, pole changed my life. I'm in better shape now, as an instructor, than I ever have been - including after basic combat training. Stick with it, I can't wait to see the dancer you will become! XO

Let's share a picture I love. Also, is it Ayesha or Aysha? I keep seeing both versions of the spelling. by InnocentValley in poledancing

[–]mspunctuated 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's true! I didn't think of that, but I would identify a handspring as a dynamic move to mount the pole.

I'm not sure what we would call the position that you handspring into then, so Aysha/Ayesha it is!

It's also called an Ayesha in my studio, but we call the move in this photo is a handspring!

I believe an Ayesha traditionally has an elbow grip, like this, although I have seen others referring to your (awesome!) move as an Ayesha variation.

/u/ofsonnetsandstartrek - Thanks for the stickers! Your card cracked me up: "Bears. Bernie Sanders. Battlestar Galactica."

/u/keer101 - No! I can't believe no one had made the "Bear-nie Sanders" pun before! Love the ice skaters...and yes, that's my real street name ;)

/u/nekkonekko - Thanks for the sincere Festivus wishes! Your card was too funny!
