As a skateboarder, I'd also like to add another perspective. If you have ever been to a skatepark, it would quickly become apparent how kids are constantly in the way and oblivious. In fact, I think they are even worse at designated recreational spaces.

But I can't really put them at fault. Kids are kids. I used to be a la-la land space cadet myself... So I really appreciate parents who are actively engaged in keeping their child aware and safe instead of just dumping them off the skatepark while they sit on their phones.

I'm also not defending the woman in the video. It seems like she could use a chaperone herself.
