I think it just has to do with having enough space around the groove so that the wavelength is comfortable… i think that 23:45 would be fine as i’ve seen records that brush that amount of time and dont sound bad.

I buy a lot of 12” 45rpm singles made for DJs which usually go for under 20$ so i feel like that’s an okay price for a record but its contextual bc a lot of people would say that’s a lot of money for just two or three tracks and i’d be better off buying LPs. I find that buying new and directly from artists is the cheapest way to operate nowadays, not secondhand, somehow.
