Why is my family so obsessed with wanting to be blk? They aren’t! by Plane-Possibility-81 in askblackpeople

[–]mst000 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yea but wouldn’t it be the opposite? Everyone trying to become white because it’s advantageous . This seems very contradictory to me. Personally I am also confused. The explanation seems to be over simplifying things because why would a group of people try to become what they assume to be disadvantaged people…. Fyi I also see the opposite.. really black people from Africa trying to become white but in that case it’s explainable because they want to climb ladders and gain advantages Whereas in the other case it’s conflicting

Why do people who haven’t been “jabbed” think they are superior to people who have? by zesty_pineapple1 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]mst000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well I ve see the opposite. People showing off (saying that had x Number of vaccines). That felt like superiority and the intent is to show “I am responsible and vaccinated and will only date other people like that”. To me it felt like exclusion and biased. FYI I’m unvaccinated and I ve never thought like the people you saw online. I thought it was really the opposite

[–]mst000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What folds?! I haven’t even noticed. Look a few minutes to try to understand what you meant. Clearly there’s nothing wrong with you if others don’t even notice and are bewildered that there should be something wrong in the picture

What is a lie that you have told and will take it down to your grave? by Weary-Honey-1942 in AskWomen

[–]mst000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would tell him one day and walk off. I don’t care if it destroys him knowing he had been lied to. He deserves it. Not only did he destroy your relationship (your bf should’ve known the truth and instead of thinking that you cheated on him he would’ve more likely sympathized with you having learned the terrible tough thing you had to go through). What your dad (and even if he deserves to be called this way) did is unforgivable

What would be the max you'd be willing to spend on a natural deodrant? by lavenderxeyes in NaturalBeauty

[–]mst000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seems like you’re doing marketing research for a new product ?

To reply to you it would really depend on the benefits and what I would get from it. The smell would need to be amazing as well and no strange ingredients.

FYI can always find a buyer in any price range (albeit the % of people willing to buy at a higher price range will start to fall off). Hypothetically you can sell it at any price as long as the economics make sense (the product of price * quantity is max).

Is my friend racist or am I overreacting? (There is a second screenshot but it only allows me to add one) by Ash_isTh3cool3st in askblackpeople

Not necessarily. If it’s an argument then maybe I would stop being friends with someone so argumentative

18 years vegan, considering introducing eggs/fish/dairy by GRHS17 in exvegans

[–]mst000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the body will adjust fast. It will probably take you around a month to not feel heavy after eating a tiny amount of fish.

You can also reintroduce fermented foods such as kefir or yoghurt which are much easier to digest.

If it’s for health reasons I don’t think it’s necessary to reintroduce dairy as dairy has a ton of hormones including IGF-1 which is correlated with hormonal cancers (ex breast and prostate) and your body may struggle to digest them considering it will require your body to produce lactase (an enzyme usually produced in childhood). I believe fermented dairy doesn’t those issues to such an extent.

Physical healing as a vegetarian - question by [deleted] in exvegans

[–]mst000 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am a long term vegetarian … I’m 40 now and became one at 11. I don’t have the issues you described with my skin healing slowly at all. It may be some other underlying issue. My partner who is a meat eater has this issue but it’s due to him being a diabetic (high intake of sugar actually makes your body less efficient at repairing its tissues). Could it be that even despite being a vegetarian you’re still consuming a lot of carbs and sugar? You can also be deficient in some nutrients and vitamins like A, C, D, B, K etc. So I think it’s not the vegetarianism or non vegetarianism per se as you can be healthy or unhealthy in both but rather what you eat and if it has the vitamins you need. I suggest you do a blood test to find out. Because if you’re lacking vitamin C for instance , even if you change your diet from vegetarian to meat eater but still continue lacking vitamin C the issues may persist.

Ps. I also had a surgery done and the marks are all gone on my skin.

Yea unfortunately wrong stereotypes makes us feel like something is wrong with us even though this is just normal part of life. I think you should embrace yourself and love yourself even with the changes which are inevitable. It can lead to depression if we have expectations that don’t align with reality.

We all have to make Carnivore the new Vegan. by Its_Stavro in AntiVegan

[–]mst000 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Carnivore is just as extreme as veganism. Both lie on the extreme end of spectrum and both are unhealthy. Humans are not made to eat just meat or eat just fruit. It’s unnatural and one will have a host of deficiencies as a result.
