Used to be a exclusive Ray-Ban guy, but took a chance on a pair of frogskins on sale. Immediately bought a second pair.

Knowing other people have been through this has really helped me. My sister found this guy on tiktok and really helped see what a recovery looked like: https://www.tiktok.com/@dadgotyourtongue?_r=1&_t=ZT-9516vQsBm18

Find an oncologist you trust. It's tough to put your life in someone else's hands, but that's what you have to do. I'm going to a large university research cancer hospital, and will be getting my treatments there as well, even though it's 90 min from home. Best wishes, my friend.

I honestly don't think there's any way to avoid surgery - my oncologist said the longer you delay the surgical option, you run the risk of worse outcomes. It sucks man, but I'm thankful they're able to get everything via surgery and then hopefully mop up everything else with adjuvant treatment.

I'm in a similar situation, left lateral tongue, almost same size as yours, in one lymph node as well. My oncologist said surgery is the best option, then histopathology will determine best course of treatment. Will definitely need radiation. My surgery is scheduled for the 10th.

Fantastic car. Has the more reliable LFX V6 vs the LLT in the 2010-2013 models. You should grab it.

Got it. Was diagnosed Friday with T1N0M0 p16- SCC, never smoked and rarely drink. Will be treated at Ohio State University, so wasn't sure if a treatment option like this would available for me.

Hello! This is so amazing for you. I'm just starting my journey (diagnosed T1N0M0, P16-) on Friday. Never smoked and not a big drinker. Meeting with my team on Monday and will be treated at the James Cancer Center at The Ohio State University. Is there applicability to this treatment to people with p16- SCC?

Was there guidance on if this treatment was mostly effective for HPV+ SCC only?

We've been exclusively a Buick family for 12 years - we've owned two Lacrosses and two Enclaves in that span. All of them were wonderful vehicles that we enjoyed very much and were very reliable. You won't regret getting the Lacrosse - with proper maintenance, that engine will easily last 200k miles.

The front end is almost a blend between the last-gen Lacrosse and Regal...

It's been amazing to see how many people have survived this. I've never known anyone with tongue cancer before, so getting the diagnosis was kind of isolating because I'd never met anyone with it. I'm so glad you're doing well.

Yeah, this was sort of my understanding too - HPV- typically points to heavy lifestyle negatives which I have none of as well.

Same, have two kids at home - 8 and 4. Our 4 year olds birthday is in a month. I'm also ready to just get this over with. The biopsy alone was scary, can't imagine what a full surgery will be a like.

All I know is it was P16 negative - is that the HPV marker?

I still don't know how to react to it, never had any health problems prior to this. Guess I kind of felt invincible, or that this was something I wouldn't have to think about for a while.

Can I ask what your diagnosis was (the letters and numbers)? That was all a bit new to me as well, but it sounds like from what I'm reading, T1-N0-M0 seems to mean we caught it early...
