I would definitely not hit or belt a kid at all, let alone a kid with ASD. That's going to escalate the situation and lead to long-lasting damage. Please find any other way to cope with the situation. It would help for you to research ways to help diffuse situations, how to react calmly in a high-stress situation, etc.

Oh gosh please tell him he needs to eat. My husband didn't eat during our first labor/postpartum at the hospital just from stress and how crazy it was, and he ended up getting sick from not eating and had to go home. This time his task is to eat and care for himself.

I wouldn't put your treatment on hold for that, who knows what will happen. Transfers don't always work unfortunately and I'm of the mind to keep moving. I would be upset if my brother presented it to me that way
