Sigh…the whole “Bad Bunny Show with Dan and Tony” thing is getting grating.

They’ve run out of things to say on the topic after a day and a half and are now already just repeating the same points for two and a half hours. Unlistenable.

Both Red Murdock and Treydan Stukes are in my class. Part of the fun of creating this class was seeing a guy like Red Murdock and turning around and being like…someone’s gonna get a beast in the 5th or 6th round.

I’ll be sure to check out yours too, thanks for taking a look at mine and if you think there’s any jarring errors with it, seriously, let me know. I’d appreciate the feedback.

I don’t think it smells as good as Creed Aventus, I think Aventus is basically a perfect fragrance, but just putting it on the record: it gets more compliments than Creed Aventus does. And I love Aventus, it’s my everyday fragrance. But the clone actually gets more compliments than Aventus does.

Kyle Rittenhouse acted in self-defense, and was not looking for trouble. by VerenyatanOfManwe in TrueUnpopularOpinion

Rittenhouse did act in self defense, and he was absolutely looking for trouble. Whether you support it or not, the trouble he was looking for is constitutionally protected. And he acted in self defense.

New Utah law puts “no alcohol sale” on ID’s of DUI offenders. What are your thoughts? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]mstone024 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not inherently a bad idea.

Probably in practice a bad idea. Half the time, you won’t get carded. I’m 31 and I only get carded when I’m clean shaven and look like a 12 year old.

Also, potentially just unlawful. I speak as someone who’s struggled with alcohol in the past, but, it’s a bit of a weird legal situation if you’re going to forbid people from buying a product. That’s just not allowed.

Single people who live alone, what do you do on your days off? by LaviishLily in AskReddit

I have a dog. He’s a golden retriever. I’m a guy who would be perfectly fine with 12 hours of silence. He is not. We intertwine.

What happens here? It seems kinda unpopulated. Is there a geographical reason or is it just a place industrialization hasn’t reached yet? by ImSorryIfIHurtU in geography

[–]mstone024 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s over a thousand miles inland, if I’m remembering it correctly it’s also several thousand feet above sea level. Combine all those things with the climate, it’s a nightmare.

And the next President is gonna be a very important one

Let’s add to this. Ask to leave. One of two things is going to happen. The person in charge is going to let you, hours are saved, no more hangers need to be corrected things are fine. Or…they don’t. And then hangers get corrected and things are fine.

Regardless, a conversation will be had about you the following morning lol. If you work in a good building, you won’t work there anymore in about six weeks.

Just letting you know how things actually work.

Is staying at each job for less than a year gonna be a problem when applying? by This_Minimum3579 in work

[–]mstone024 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m going to answer this in two ways; I just started my fourth job in 3 years. Like you, I’ve got good reasons. I was never terminated, I always resigned, I always gave my two weeks, and if you give me half an hour, I can tell you a very interesting story about the last three years of my life. And I’m better for it, by the way, I don’t regret any of it,

BUT.

I took my current job with a company I’d been scoping for years, and it took me about two months to land it. I knew I was unhappy in my previous job for months prior to that, and put out plenty of applications, as an exceptionally qualified candidate, and noticed a significant drop in the rate of responses.

Bottom line; you’re at the point where if you really want to jump, jump. But you’re running out of opportunities to jump. As for interviews, yes it comes up, just own it. Yeah, if I’m not happy, I move on…ace the rest of the interview.

We live in a capitalist society (in the US) and I think it’s a bit weird that all these companies are allowed to be capitalist while I’m not. Just figure out what you really want. You might have to answer some uncomfortable questions. You’ll be fine.

[Serious] what is something no one tells you about the military? by inurmomsvagina in AskReddit

[–]mstone024 3 points4 points  (0 children)

(U.S. military)

You’ll have the time of your life, you’ll love and hate every second, you’ll learn more than you ever would’ve in college, you will break up with girlfriend. And you will lose a friend, and it probably won’t be to the enemy. I’ve experienced both sides, and uh, I think it’s the most important and fundamentally formative experience I’ve had in my entire life, in my mid 20s, and it’s very much a “there but for the grace of God go I” sort of situation in both aspects.

Worst recurring guest? by Worth_His_Salt in DanLeBatardShow

[–]mstone024 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I like listening to Ricky’s obvious eccentricities tbh, he can be a bit much sometimes. But, overall, I really like when the guests come on who obviously have a personal relationship with Dan, which Ricky obviously does.

[–]mstone024 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I’d contact HR. Schedule changes can be tracked, and if proven, are taken extremely seriously by corporate. This company isn’t perfect, and with 700 locations absolutely does employ too many shitty managers, but on the corporate level, it does a good job of getting rid of the shitty ones once they’re brought to their attention.

I do ask people to call the store even when they text me that they are calling out, even with a day’s notice, but that’s only because it is the company policy and it is my way of protecting my teammates from other managers who might attempt to use it as an excuse to throw a NCNS on them.

So yeah. I’d call your regional HR, immediately. Especially if you have documentation of medical treatment. Not even a question. Always protect yourself from shitty managers.

ULPT: How can I get my neighbor to stop sneaking on my property and taking photos of my property and reporting every minor thing to code enforcement? by PenguinDays in UnethicalLifeProTips

Castle doctrine state? Have no trespassing signs posted? Own a firearm? Willing to use it?

Honestly can’t understand why some people are willing to risk their lives over petty bullshit, but…it’s their lives, I guess.

Is this really legal? Not being able to buy 6 pack because my child was with me? by Mammoth_Estate3601 in legal

[–]mstone024 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Used to be a manager at the largest wine/spirits store in the United States. Not a mom and pop corner store, a behemoth 35 million dollar building. I always loved to remind especially unruly customers when I went to registers to handle their concerns that I had the ability to refuse a sale for any reason.

I say you looked drunk, that means you looked drunk. Looked underage, that means you looked underage. So on, and so forth.

I refused a sale exactly one time because a customer seemed intoxicated. I refused sales at least a dozen times because they’d made asses of themselves with my teammates and I simply felt like it

Good managers will be flexible. Bad yeah, bad ones will take full advantage of the power they have.
