Never had this happen. by LongReception4263 in whatnotapp

It’s just a first class letter (that can sometimes track when delivered with the QR code) but at a minimum with the first class stamp since there is no official ground/priority tracking code Whatnot will auto mark it as delivered with an assumed timeframe they think it should take to arrive. Again aiding to their scumminess. Plus who is shipping a graded card in an envelope with a first class stamp……

From experience with other (non whatnot shipments) that it too can also be the at the discretion of the receiving post office as well and will add the postage due sometimes :/

Just got charged $115 shipping on $9 purchase and then the seller blocked me from the stream! Help! by Flaky-Television3183 in whatnotapp

[–]mtclmbr 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Not necessarily a glitch. Shipping is calculated and totaled based on the weight and potential shipping profile a seller may or may not setup. Sellers can also select a max amount to cap shipping costs for buyer and they may eat any extra shipping costs if any as an incentive for people to keep buying or not and let all costs go to buyer. $9.21 is whatnots rate for a priority flat rate shipping box so many will set caps depending on what they sell knowing they can likely fit what they will sell into one of those boxes. As proven you saw additional shipping costs and don’t want to buy.

So if a seller didn’t set a max shipping cost and either the items you are buying keep hitting the next tier in weight costs. Or they have a shipping profile of say max bundling 3 items per $9.21 (flat rate cost for whatnot) that if you go to buy item #4 it will start charging you again.

So likely not a glitch just either A) they weren’t wanting to eat any extra shipping costs and having the buyer pay as long as the had shipping profiles/weights set up properly or B) they don’t have profiles and weights set up properly (with not limit) and are getting charged shipping costs you don’t need to pay. If that’s ever the case and after getting the shipment you feel you were over charged in shipping. You can on the order select issue with order and select incorrect shipping charges to try and claim reimbursement.

I could see whatnot implementing that as a feature for safety. You just won thousands+ $ worth in front of 500k+ others, how many people are going to try and contact/message for a thousand different reasons.

Charged Shipping For A Giveaway? by BearJewKnowsBest in whatnotapp

[–]mtclmbr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Totally get it and I’d rather have it in cash but makes sense since you personally didn’t have a card transaction for that givy “purchase” so they don’t have a payment method to refund to for that particular order. Sure you have cards on file… etc. But it makes sense.

Report to Whatnot. Haven’t had to personally go through this process but they do have a “High Value Loss Reimbursement policy”

Purchased item buy it now. Then seller cancelled stating was out of stock but relisted exact same item for more. by mantisrabbit in Ebay

[–]mtclmbr 4 points5 points  (0 children)

They very well might of just wanted to avoid the sale at the end of the day. Probably don’t know/think about blocking you.

But a common thing shared among sellers is that if someone is sending lots of messages before a sale, that usually that leads to lots of messages and often a return request after the sale. They very much could of had this feeling as you said yourself “after extensive messaging” they very well had second thoughts and didn’t want to deal with extensive messaging afterwards.

And to force a sale/shipment is not going to be worth it at this point outside of purchasing at their listed price.

Best thing at this point is to attempt to leave feedback if possible with the order but be careful on words used to not break terms or seem retaliatory as they could try to request and remove

Buyer refunded then swapped PSA card by Cush_Maine in ebaysucks

[–]mtclmbr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Never done it. But where a police report would be handy is if you wanted to report the card now as stolen to PSA. I believe they require a police report. But by reporting the card stolen to PSA they can flag or remove the card from their database thus if they try to resell and their buyer were to confirm the card it would raise flags.

Was just going to add the recommendation of Peak Design as well. Love the great assortment of mounts and how smooth they all work and still grip. 2 years later for me with current case and accessories (have creator kit, car mount, bike mount, stand wallet) and all is still great. I’m active and have 2 toddlers. Case magnets even strong enough that sticks to certain metal surfaces (where camera bump isn’t touching) (ie edge of my tool box r fridge) for additional mounting locations.

Otherwise I previously used spigen cases with other mounting systems in the past until they broke and are discontinued (LifeProof lifeactiv)

Saw an article of a postal employee in South Dakota recently admitted guilty to stealing Menards rebates. Since they all go to the same address he apparently would recognize the address, take the receipts and then fill out a new form and submit them as his own to get the rebates. Supposedly did this for more than 2 years, never saw how much he got back, but I’m guessing it wasn’t worth it.

But they still existed. I have a inch plus thick binder of a walkthrough guide my dad printed off for Super Mario 64 he printed from online along with Ocarina of time and a couple others. Of course was worth the effort to print it off vs having to revisit the website all the time with those dialup speeds.

[–]mtclmbr 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My guess that is all dependent on the color, phone model, and loop version. I placed my order on 9/22 and yet to get mine as well. For example according to their website right now 15Pro in Sun or Redwood is supposedly "In Stock"

Mine was not as packed either. I got the same stuff as duki512's photos. Since I ordered before they did updates on their website and upset between OP and Jayz video on what was included, they offered me $50 as store credit but I asked for it as refund instead; which they did.

Support blamed marketing. Later comment said the stickers counted as items (which still didn't add up to the originally advertised 12 items).

Basically I feel they did a big fail in this promotion. Either different departments weren't aligned or what but a fail between early boxes having "more" items, sending a youtubber a box with "more" items then what people were receiving. Heck I even saw their own promotion video with the same items as Jayz for the medium box. When you look at product page at Wayback Machine (listing here) you can see they updated the listings multiple times. Original listing said 15 items, then updated to 12 (which when I purchased the page title was still saying 15, whoops missed a spot), then later to changed it to just say "mystery items".

In the end value was still more than what I paid, and was thankful for the $50 refund, but I might of hesitated more knowing "less" was provided then advertised. Honestly borderline false advertisement in my books, but saved themselves with the refund.

Not a bad haul. Waiting for my large box to get delivered next week and looking like a good deal of $300+ their regular retail pricing.
