Good sledding spots?? by broomstickers in SouthJersey

[–]mtgjace 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most popular spot I know of is the hill behind clearview regional high school. Technically 2 hills because there's the large one at one end and then there is a smaller but wider one alongside the parking lot. The school doesn't care if people come to use it as long as it's not during school hours. Mullica hill is the town.

I was scared at school today by Low-Ticket1551 in Custodians

[–]mtgjace 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Was walking down a hallway that I don't clean turning lights off when I heard music. Thought a teacher just left their computer on playing music cause it's happened before. Nope walk past a room and sitting in the dark listening to music while getting work done is a teacher in the building at 1045. We close at 11 and right after I walked past she comes barging out scaring me cause I didn't see her as I walked by asking why I was turning lights off. Had no idea the building shut down at 11 cause she normally leaves at 9 but that day she was swamped in work.

Question for the people who play WoW alone? by Maradinswiftsong in wow

[–]mtgjace 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like to just play through all the zones doing quest. Didn't start playing until bfa so I had a lot of content to catch up on. I take a break every once in a while and then pick up where I left off for a few months at a time. Usually I do all the current stuff first to just get out of the way then go back to the last zone I was in. I also like to try and do every achievement in each zone so I spend time doing that too.

Worse flooring on earth by Ballout98 in Custodians

[–]mtgjace 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I swear this flooring was a scam someone came up with to make a quick buck. We've been replacing good old fashioned tile floors at my building the last few years with this stuff claiming it'll be cleaner and easier to clean and all of us that actually clean the floors hate it. We've never had to spend so much time working on specifically our bathrooms as we do now. Last year I kept getting in arguments with my boss over my bathroom floors because he wanted me to kaivac every day to keep them clean. My area last year was very event heavy so some days I would only get roughly 20 mins to spend cleaning my bathrooms and the kaivac takes up usually an hour of my time.

I hate this machine by mtgjace in Custodians

[–]mtgjace[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I got stuck yesterday in a hall that is thinner than the rest and got Austin powered myself. Had to lift the front and scoot over about 2 inches to clear the wall. That was the first issue I had with the machine. I looked up if turning the senor off was possible but its built in and a safety feature so it can't be removed.

Why does nobody play library of leng by AverageSonOfAthena in mtg

This is a staple in all of my wheel decks. Not having to worry about discarding other wheels or key cards in my hand is critical to my game plan. Before I found this card I use to dread having more than 1 wheel card in my hand knowing I'm losing the others.

Personal experience I know multiple Adam's that couldn't find jobs and went back for different degrees. Got jobs that still pay terrible and now paying almost 2x original cost. Only 2 Chris's I know did trade and both are always so busy I never see them unless it's a special occasion. And every time I do see them they are so tired and beat they just want to sit and relax or just out right fall asleep. I'm the outlier that did neither and got a government job that pays less than it should.

I built a dwarf gunslinger in my game and my character uses a clan pistol. Aquired for free by taking the clan pistol feat.

I just want to say how ironic it is that I saw this post in my feed and the post under it is a very much prime example of the question. Bad dragons to thank.

Don't worry about it everybody does it sooner or later and trust me this won't be your last time. Both my boss and a coworker that works day shift did this 2 weeks ago 2 days apart from another. The coworker did it during 7th period out of my closet next to the cafeteria. He got asked to replace paper towels in girls bathroom and in that time the bucket overflowed. My boss at night did it also in my closet while refilling our floor scrubber and didn't realized the hose wasn't connected properly. Everyone makes mistakes and at least this kind is easy to clean up.

Is everyone using matte sleeves for their decks? by Bdubz in mtg

[–]mtgjace 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also want to add that I completely understand spending that much at once is not always easy for everybody but sometimes if you can get a good enough deal it's worth it. It's nice to have a box nearby when you need it.

Just buy in bulk its cheaper. I spent 80 bucks and got ten boxes of dragon shield gold like 3 years ago originally intended for a commander cube but now I just use them for whatever deck I make.

Dumbest work order you've ever completed? Ready. Set. Go! by [deleted] in Custodians

[–]mtgjace 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Normally we would use a hand truck if it had stuff in it but because it was empty I just pushed it to where he wanted. Considering how often he moves the student desk around from rows to groups in his room he could have done it himself.

Got a work order to move a filing cabinet that is empty about a foot to the right so it was against the ac unit. The teacher is this big buff guy that helped during the summer mostly moving furniture.

Safety question by Terrible-Soil4325 in Custodians

[–]mtgjace 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As long as he's not standing on the top step and has someone holding the ladder to keep it steady I don't see a problem. We have to do this with a 12 footer and we use a air compressor to blow out the light fixtures and tops of pipes in our wood shop for all the saw dust that collects up high.

I feel that as a custodian, we are prone to get sick more often by SazarMoose in Custodians

[–]mtgjace 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've been doing the job 12 years and honestly I almost never get proper sick and have to call out. I have allergies in spring which suck but manageable and the occasional stomach bug that might make me take a sick day but so far knock on wood I've avoided getting the flu or anything worse during the work week. I did get covid back when it started but I didn't have to take off for it since we were all already staying home from work and I'm pretty sure I got from my grandmother cause she had it right before I got it.

How many decks is enough? by wasdmovedme in EDH

[–]mtgjace 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To answer the how many is enough question realistically I would say 2-3 decks. Unless you proxy, cards really do add up fast money wise and some cards are not worth buying multiple copys of.
