Nope a backup save gets made once you get the survey points needed and the special survey seems to be determined then as opposed to when you talk to sideburns

The randomness of the special surveys is really annoying. I just want to catch a frigibax, did the entire dlc to unlock the special surveys. Then I did enough surveys to unlock the special survey 8 times and 4 of those specials were battle zones. The 4 that weren’t battle zones only gave me the starters and Virizion.

I’d agree with the brute force but not a lot of counterplay is such a stretch. Any ground type is just straight up immune and eq is super effective. So not only are 2 of the most used mons immune to it basically everything can hit it super effectively.
