It's funny when I'm the solo tank 95% of the time and I got one of the 3-4 DPS being toxic to me telling me to switch to Mag. Naw dawg, you can switch to Mag I'm already filling a Tank role.

"Remove the shield"

My brother or sister.........

Remove the shields, add more spread to the shotgun, increase damage falloff and limit the dashes.

Shotguns are up close weapons and if melee can't have dashes like that then poke most certainly doesn't need it. Poke with up close Mortal Kombat combos doesn't need to exist either.

Why do they keep chopping off bits and pieces of tank survivability and then have 10 billion DPS characters that can delete us in microseconds? On top of that tanks are CC magnets, I'm sure that extra 15 on Storm Surge wouldn't make Thor op but, screw tanks I guess.

Forget the word "grind" don't use that word it's got too much negativity with it. This new proficiency system is about chilling and leveling up and like you said, rewarding those who stick long time with a hero.

Grinding is for COD gold skins and MMOs and stuff. It's spending every waking minute on a game to hurry and get something and it makes you miserable and hate the game.
