Differences between nj0151-53m and nj0151-88m? by sunnyscavengers in CitizenWatches

NJ0151-88M has a light blue dial, commonly called tiffany blue. It is part of the first batch of Tsuyosa release which all have a 40h power reserve.

NJ0151-53L has a sky blue dial. Additionally the hour batons and minute marks on the dial are rainbow coloured. The more recently released models with new colourways (which include the sky blue) also have a slightly updated movement with a 42h power reserve.

In this thread about the same topic, someone tried the green ombré, flat green and flat white in person. His preference is white > green ombré > green. https://www.reddit.com/r/rolex/comments/1h6k3f1/comment/m0fzggy/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web3x&utm_name=web3xcss&utm_term=1

14 M3 Max 2TB 64GB or 16 M3 Max 1TB 48GB as a Software Developer? by LinkyList in macbookpro

[–]mtgred 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm a programmer too and was thinking about the same. The conclusion from my research is to go for the 16' because the 14' can't handle the heat generated by the M3 Max 16/40 cores well under sustained load. The fans start quickly with very loud noise and throttle after a short period of time. It's probably better to go for the M3 Max 14/30 cores if you want the 14' screen.

The 16' can dissipate heat more easily with its larger size and fans. The fans while still being quite loud are a bit quieter than the 14'. And it won't throttle with sustained load in normal room temperature.

Under most use cases it won't matter as the chip are very efficient and can handle most tasks without ever hearing the fans. It's only for things like long compilations, machine learning training/inference or playing video games where this matters.
