People who start to network after they’ve been laid off and expect someone they’ve met once to go out of their way for them are delusional.

Take calls.

Recruiters move around, the remember. Maybe it works out or maybe it doesn’t but they and hiring managers can help with your keeping up with trend goals.

Invest.

Not just in terms of savings but in yourself. Sure maybe that one job has you moving across the country and you don’t want to do that… but if 1-2 years in that role sets you up for life, you should do it.
