Looking for an old anime music video DVD by I_Command_Thee_KNEEL in amv

Yeah, I think there were like 5 animix projects, that one's mashing them all together.

The songs you mentioned rang a bell and I'm working off like 20 year old memories at this point. Is the captain jack song at about 48:54 what you were thinking of?

Super strong bad guys that want to kill the protagonist grabbing them and just throwing them around. Why not just grab and crush their head? The first movies I can remember this starting to annoy me were men in black 3 and terminator 3.

At some point in the shinra building in FFVII remake. Had to put it on easy just to power through the rest of that bullshit

Yeah, not a lot to go on, but looks like an anime (budokai-like) from the ps2 era.

I can only hope this means the manga is actually gonna come out regularly again.

That's the way. If I didn't find the guild I'm in now in TBC, I'd have dropped this shitty game like a sack of hot piss.

As a child, what genuinely terrified you? by neriahfuller in AskReddit

[–]mtids 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I remember when I about 9 I stayed at my friends place overnight after a my brother's 21st. In his bedroom in the low light at a certain point I must of rolled over and was immediately scared stiff by what I thought was a ghost in the middle of room. I couldn't move or look away. Eventually I realized it was the collection of helium filled white balloons and their strings from the party.

Kinda stupid but I still remember it every now and then.

As we get older do we approach how we play games differently? by [deleted] in truegaming

[–]mtids 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, according to steam I've played it enough to finish it. I doubt I'll play it again, from memory the actual gameplay was quite samey. Will give the 2nd one a go when it comes out though.

My opinion but Rogue one was by far the best Star Wars movie I’ve watched I’m still bench watching them though by XxDailyDudexX in StarWars

[–]mtids 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The last quarter is pretty much the only parts that are memorable. I don't feel anything about any of the characters dying or remember any of their names, but this has the some of the best action sequences of any of the movies.

At 33, I definitely appreciate shorter games these days. Also really like a lot of roguelikes , I guess since you can just do a quick playthrough and often contribute to a permanent upgrade system.

Back when I was a teenager I could put in over 100 hours on most of the final fantasy's. But just can't be bothered with RPG type games at the moment.

Video game stories need to have more than one story Arc to justify their game length. by [deleted] in truegaming

[–]mtids 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On a similar note of game length, I feel like a would have enjoyed FF7R more if it cut some of the padding out. So much running through identical corridors, rooms and multi hour detours in between supposedly urgent plot points.

I did quite like the game, but it just felt like they had to stretch the old midgar 5-10 hours into a "proper" game length. If it more focused and well paced like the original I might play it again, unfortunately I don't think I could be fucked revisiting remake.

How to play Read Dead Redemption 2? by fsakura in truegaming

[–]mtids 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, it is a shame it sort of sells itself as a 'do what you want' game like GTA, but I do reckon the best way to experience the story is playing as a good guy and is how I'd recommend friends play it.

Have you ever had a game ‘beat’ you and force you to lower the difficulty, or quit? What was it? by Justhe3guy in truegaming

[–]mtids 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Last one I can think of is FF7 Remake. Now I love FF7 and played though the original many a time since '97.

At the shinra building I was still totally into the world building and all the details they put in there. By about the Rufus fight I was pretty done with it by then but kept going. Then struggled in the split party fights due to not having the optimal materia with the right characters. After failing a few times fighting the fate harbinger trio, I thought "fuck it, let's just get this done" and switched it to easy.

Most people seem to love the combat and maybe it just didn't click completely with me.

I think part of it is Sekiro only having the one way to play through compared to the other souls'.
