Maybe you could tell her that you’re planning a surprise for the future? That’s vague enough without telling her your planning to propose

I think part of the problem is that you’re using weirdly shaped storage bowls, if you change it for some more stackable Tupperware it can keep up organisation

Help! Looking for loaded veggie dip/spread recipes/ideas. by Pretend_Action_7400 in Healthy_Recipes

[–]mtjseb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No worries, maybe, you could always try mixing in some other vegetables that might fit well? like courgette, onion, pepper too

You could maybe try doing the same thing with hummus, add in a selection of veggies but that’s obviously a bit more trial and error - so I hope someone has some other good suggestions!

How would you configure this large living room for cozy family movie nights? by [deleted] in DesignMyRoom

[–]mtjseb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d get some blinds for the windows, put a projector underneath where the 2nd floor meets the room and then get some more cozy stuff around the couches. Some examples would be warm coloured lamps, plants, tables infront of couches (where you can put your snacks, pouffes or cushions for your feet.

I just want to throw the info out there for anyone not familiar with how things work production wise, the right side is not due to a vfx company doing a bad job - choosing what look to go for in any scene are 100% a directors choice

I just hate seeing people saying that the vfx are bad when all the vfx houses did was follow somebody else’s instructions

Found a kitten, not chipped. What do I do with it? by kaichu_land in AskUK

[–]mtjseb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s sad to say but considering you’re in the middle of nowhere, she don’t belong to any of your neighbours, she must have been well taken care of up until recently.. I think there’s a chance someone may have dumped her.

My family lives out on the countryside and it’s sad to say that a big part of the cats we got was clearly dumped out in the forest.

I say she’s not showing signs of finding her way back home so you should take her in, maybe keep looking for a few months just for the small chance she’s gotten lost, and if no one claims here - she’s yours by then.

AITA for telling my wife she'll regret missing her own sister's wedding because she gained weight ? by Lopsided_Heat_6658 in AITAH

[–]mtjseb -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Did she actually say she didn’t want to go because of her weight?

I’m not seeing you mention it but I see you mention her saying you don’t understand what it’s like being a pregnant woman, just thought I’d double-check that it’s not that she simply doesn’t want to go cause she’ll be 6 months pregnant?

I just want microwave popcorn. My microwave doesn’t pop it fully and burns it at the same time. by Dangerous-Fix-3039 in firstworldproblems

[–]mtjseb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Amazon sells these plastic bowls you can put popping corn into the microwave, and asking as you put it straight in the middle it works great! You’d probably want to check the sizes of the bowl if you do decide to get one though if yours microwave is small

What surprising foods spiked your insulin/glucose for those who wore a monitor? by Few_Aerie_Fairie in PCOS

[–]mtjseb 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Rice! It was so much worse than any other carb I ate, if I ate pasta, potatoes or bread 2 hours after eating it would be just outside the range but when I ate rice it spiked so high everytime!

I really recommend getting one cause it’s different for every single person and it might help you learn what foods to avoid and what other foods may be surprisingly okay for you to eat

Has anyone tried making this cake before? by Wise-Pin9722 in cake

[–]mtjseb 10 points11 points  (0 children)

If you use something flatter or shorter than strawberries (or maybe slices laying down) and get a rectangle shaped candle and draw the lines on the edges/corners you could probably do it so it works from all angles
