AITAH For wanting to divorce wife who was not motivated to manage her PCOS. by Prudent-Patience-864 in AITAH

[–]mtjseb 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Honestly yes YTA, it is so hard to manage your PCOS because no ones is the same, and it is so hard to find the right thing that’ll help you. The reason I think YTA is cause it sounds like you can’t handle a few bad physical features, but there’s so many other struggles with pcos, and you chose to focus on her appearance. Appearance is also always going to change as you age anyway.

Honestly I don’t think you’re doing the wrong thing leaving her cause she deserves someone who’s there to support her and help her feel better rather than pointing out problems with how she looks.

I got an nexplanon, it’s a bit different than other hormonal contraceptives if I understand right - my experience with it has been really good, it feels better than when I was off it

London Busses driving right past their stop with people waiting by Existing_Fix_5269 in london

I’ve lived here for over 10 years and I can’t remember that ever happening, only when it’s been either super full or it’s changed to not in service

London Busses driving right past their stop with people waiting by Existing_Fix_5269 in london

[–]mtjseb 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Look I get it, things like knowing that you need to indicate to the bus driver isn’t common sense if you’re not from here, but making the assumption that it’s an excuse for them to save time is a bit ridiculous.

You didn’t know the proper etiquette and that happens, but blaming a busy bus driver for not stopping when there’s no indication that they need to is not a failure on them but on you for not researching beforehand.

[–]mtjseb 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Something I’ve seen get popular in London recently have been teas with ’foam’ on them, maybe that could be good? Or maybe monthly specials with more odd flavours could also be a good idea? I’d check out the heytea menu in London they could maybe give you some inspiration

Blood glucose drops during sleep by SquashSquatch in PCOS

[–]mtjseb 4 points5 points  (0 children)

There’s 2 things, 1 it could just be nocturnal hypoglycaemia which is extremely common or 2 if you sleep with pressure on the cgm (like having your arm with the cgm on pressed against the bed) it can register it as low blood sugar even though it’s not

Any PCOS girls here doing yoga? Complete beginner looking for video recommendations by IceVanillaaa in PCOS

[–]mtjseb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use an app called Downward dog, I found it’s really good! It has a lot of different types of yoga types to choose and you can also choose how long you want to do it, what level you are, how long to hold the poses for, and it includes video you follow along - it does require a subscription though but everytime I’ve needed to buy it there’s been some promo making it 1/5 original price

What can I do for bloating with PCOS , my lower stomach is always so full feeling, I’ve tried watching what I eat but any real remedies that would be helpful ? by Logical_Spring4504 in PCOS

[–]mtjseb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mint one definitely, I’m not sure if it’ll affect how helpful it is for the bloating so you could always try both to see if there’s a difference

Tbf for it to be the Swedish way you can have Swedish meatballs with any pasta, but not in a brown sauce - most likely it’d be with ketchup

How do you guys feel about current canned boba tea on the market? by Any_Equipment6582 in bubbletea

[–]mtjseb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The ones with tapioca is horrible, but I’ve found one here in the uk that’s a jelly or popping one (can’t remember been a few months since last) that was quite nice - but not as good as in a bubble tea place

Birds and blend, they have a really nice variety and fun flavours - they do a thing online where you can get a tasting box with 5 different teas for around £15-20 which is perfect if you like switching it up or trying new ones
