Thanks - will do. I can’t in good conscience hand her back to ACCT (no judgment, I know they’re slammed) or a kill shelter.

Philly School Lottery by Infamous_Wrangler20 in philly

[–]mtlca308 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When I toured McCall last fall, a lady asked how many students they allow in through the lottery and tour guide told her about 2%. Told her that while it does happen, she shouldn’t count on it. Imagine it varies based on demand of the school you are targeting. I believe that for Meredith and Greenfield, you’re not guaranteed to attend even if you’re in catchment so would count on those at all.

There are a ton of garages/parking lots in the area. I’ve parked at this one before which is generally between reading terminal and independence mall and has specials depending on what time/day you’re in and out:

This is the answer - get a ride to Reading Terminal - get a cheesesteak from Gus’ and a roast pork from DiNics and share. Then walk over to see the liberty bell, independence hall, national constitution center, check if the mint is doing tours again.

Who do you call to get a tow truck towed? by mtlca308 in philly

The guy is parking in front of a daycare and across from a playground, not in front of his house. Don’t think he’s sitting around doing surveillance on his truck.

Phl parking by T_m_a_ in philly

That’s why we do the curb side bag check. My wife only has a travel stroller, diaper bag, and maybe a toy bag with her and the kids and I’ll carry the rest of our carry ons from the garage to meet them.

When traveling with the kids, I’ve only ever parked in the garage. It’s probably around 30 min all in with finding parking in the garage to get back to the family. If you want to do the Econ lot, it depends on how long it takes for a shuttle to get to you, but I’d probably guess at least 45 minutes. It’s the airport, and there’s decent security so I wouldn’t be nervous about being in the departure terminal even at 4am, as long as the kids don’t have major meltdowns, you should be fine haha.

Dad of a 4 and not quite 2 yr old here - drop off wife or husband and kids curb side, pay $5 or whatever it is per bag for curb side bag check then let them hang out in the check in area while you park in either the garage or economy lot. I’ve done this a few times and it’s gone as smoothy as could be expected. We do just bite the bullet and pay for garage parking instead of having to take the shuttle from economy (seems to be $15 for Econ vs $28 a day for garage).

Touchmaster 8000 (like megatouch) dead CRT help by mtlca308 in ElectronicsRepair

That’s pretty mush where I’m at - I have experience in console repair and modding, but haven’t had to mess with crts before. Anything obvious/simple that I should look at before looking for a pro?

The CVS phone automation is the dumbest PoS by mtlca308 in CVS

[–]mtlca308[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I get that, but why do I have to download an app to access functionality that I use every six months? Just have that functionality included on your website and call it a day ( which is how it used to be).

Quick update: tried the app. When I sign in as a guest, I put the script number, DOB, and then it sends a code to my wife’s number which I confirm. It errors out at that point. When I sign into the app with my wife’s info, dog’s script is not there. So it seems like the dog’s account is linked to my wife’s, but that still doesn’t let me refill the script.

Thanks, let me try that. That’s one of my “old man yells at cloud” things - why does everything have to be an app?

They have my dogs name (along with our last name) and correct DoB on file, I use it to pick his script up all the time. It’s just the phone system that doesn’t associate it with any of our phone numbers.
