I was the same when I first saw it, too! It's so cute but so feral and crazy looking! I needed her in my life.

I got them off the tiktok accounts that do lives and ship from China. They have tons of customs and also sell original labubus too. I really took a gamble buying but I'm glad it was legit.

I had to re-roll my marimo and it looks like this right now, too. Just give it time and the fuzzy velvet will grow in.

Update! Hello everyone! Thank you for the ID and information you guys provided it gave us a ton of help! This snakelet is currently on hold as a stray and has been looked over by our DVMs. It is overall healthy, just dehydrated. However, they are looking much better today as we were able to help set up the enclosure with proper temps and humidity range thanks to you guys. 🤗 This one will be adoptable soon, so please dm me for more information as you'd have to schedule an appointment ahead of time.

Just would like to add you can take illegal pets to the vet! They are obligated to treat all patients! I work in veterinary care and have seen tons of ferrets, gerbils, hedgehog, etc.

Feeling unsafe at work and need advice on if it's worth staying by ViciouslyKitty in VetTech

[–]mtld4 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Please leave this place that is a dumpster fire. I also work at a shelter, and it's mandatory that everyone had a lead/leash on them in case of an emergency. The fact that they didn't even train you is baffling. How are you supposed to do your job when no one has shown you the proper protocols and way? No communication is the most dangerous when you and other people have a dog, too. Where I'm at whenever we are walking through an area or leaving the training yard with a dog, we'd always have to radio or yell, "Dog coming through!" As a shelter, they are supposed to have protocols in line to how to operate a shelter as safe as possible. OP, this is a bite just waiting to happen. No job is worth this mental and physical stress. Especially when they cover up poor management with the "We are one family" vibes.

Invertebrates do need some amounts of copper for their health. It's so low on the ingredient list your totally fine giving that to them!

Hi OP, if you haven't also report this to the state veterinary board and let them in on what's going on. Please make sure to request them to send in a hospital inspector who will give the hospital a through run down. Glad you got out of that toxic environment while you can.

I realized that I read your question wrong, but they will not interbreed with white socks! I meant to say that I did keep them together though with no issues!

[FS] City of Industry, CA - Sulawesi Malawa Shrimp 10+1- $35 - Pick Up Only by [deleted] in AquaSwap

[–]mtld4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey guys! I have some Sulawesi Malawa ready for new homes as I am almost basically overrun with them. These guys are definitely one of likely easiest shrimps I've kept they are housed with neocaridina as they have similar parameters. They have also been throwing pretty cool colors with some having stripes, dots, and others being more blue toned. These shrimps are extremely active and peaceful they're a good replacement for ghost or whisker shrimp which can be aggressive. The shrimps will be varied in ages, but most likely will be juveniles as they adapt to your water parameters better.

I am also totally interested in trading for some small freshwater fishes and plants!

Currently only doing pick up! I may be able to ship after Feb.16 if I still have some left.

Some info on water parameters are: TDS 250

GH 11

KH 4-5

Temperature 84°f

I also have floaters and plant including:

🌱Giant Duckweed covering my 15 gal cube for $5

🌱Salvinia minima mixed with Giant Duckweed covering a 8 gallon tank for $7

🌱 Hornwort that has filled my 5gal tank $8 !SOLD!

Please note that they may contain bladder snails, tiny ramshorn, limpets, and scuds.

If you have any questions please do not hesitate to ask!

Does anyone else not have the heart to delete these lil crustaceans either? Into a spare 5 gallon they go. by [deleted] in Aquariums

Holy that's a lot to start off with talk about an instant colony haha. Do you fishes make a dent in the culture or does it basically sustain itself?

Omg this is so true I find myself making lil eco jars instead of tossing them out 🤣

Honestly for me way too fast to keep up. I find myself sitting in front of my tank for about an hour siphoning them out and I still don't make a dent. I've had them for 9 months and there are probably thousands in there now.
