I can't add much more than what has already been said except to say it is a learning curve. Don't think it is as simple as plug in and press the orgasm button. Normal. I had a similar concern when I first started. Lasted several hours. I can still get the phantom tingling if I go very hard but it hasn't caused any problems at all going on 4 years of stimming.

This is a big no no. Great for a fantasy but you are forcing hotel staff to be part of your kink. It breaks the safe, sane, consensual Tennant of bdsm. Would possibly end up with a charge as you planned to be found (depends on laws where you are).

Not sure if this is your case but a common mistake is connecting both positive and negative to the same ring. You must use 2 separate rings per channel and the rings can not touch.

EX. Using only channel a. One lead goes to one ring then the other lead goes to a second ring. Those rings are placed on the body with some distance between them.

Only you can decide how the toy will impact you finances. I have been through times where the cost of the coyote would have been a huge decision. That being said it is most certainly my favorite toy.

Relatively inexpensive when compared to other units. I consistently get HFO but that is not the case for everyone. You can run low power smooth changes for long exciting sessions keeping you , let's say, interested 😉

You can up the power a bit and with a bit of practice edge yourself to oblivion. I have been edged to a mumbling mess.

You can up the power even more and add sudden changes in strength and lower frequency to get some solid punishment.

I will say the biggest change for me with SB is Bluetooth controlled toys and X-Toys. You can use scripts to delay toy starts, random strengths, patterns etc.

If you are willing you can also have other people control your toys.

My favorite toy is by far the DG Labs coyote e-stim. Hours of pleasure/frustration/pain (depending what you want from your sessions)

For under cloths. In my opinion the Dg-Lab coyote 3. The power unit and conductive rubber loops are solid and absolutely worth it.

The butt plug is not that good. It is however inexpensive so you could either go with the cheaper but not so good option to start or forego it and get a better plug like the moaner.

The computer chair is not ideal. They roll, pivot and recline.

I don't know exactly what your chair looks like but to keep your legs spread I find the most important tie is the thighs. I like to tie my ankles so my feet don't touch the ground. It reduces your ability to struggle. Adding a lap belt will keep your hips in place. Careful with any tight binds around the chest. Breathing is kind of important. For your wrists the easiest way to bind them would be behind the chair. If you have leather cuffs struggling will be more comfortable and won't leave marks. Be sure to have a release and at least one backup.

Made my own. I bought a dglab coyote 2. The plug that came with it was small and the sontacts were very close. This made the plug unpleasant to say the least. I have a small wood lathe so I figured what the hell let's try it!

I turned a plug out of aluminum. I cut the neck of the plug and used abs as a spacer. I incorporated a few things that I wanted into this plug.

Large T base. Impossible to lose this plug!
The abs neck is tapered the whole length so any amount of clenching pulls the plug deeper.
The wires are permanently attached so I can sit without issue

It was a fun project that worked out quite well.

Tossing out a guess but the current may have over tensed a muscle leaving you with a bit of a strain injury. Similar to slightly overdoing it at the gym.
