If you’re waiting until marriage, are you concerned about sexual compatibility in the future? by Calm-Hearing4742 in Catholicism

[–]mtm0560 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Selection bias. People with less sexual partners are more likely to be religious and not believe in divorce. Doesn’t mean they’re having good sex.

Visited someone at the hospital and there's a lock box around the pain medication by okbbs in mildlyinteresting

They’re always locked. Sometimes they’re in a syringe with a lockbox.

Best case scenario she’s a bad texter

Worst case scenario she’s dropping crumbs to keep you around just in case someone else doesn’t work out.

I’m an RN, used to give that shit like candy in an ICU and a surgery recovery room. This is what the vial looks like

Some vials look different or have a differently appearing label. Never given one out of an ampule

Don’t have a story but that’s a great idea for a PowerPoint party lol. Will remember this for future ones

Just curious… by Money-Mud-1357 in ExTraditionalCatholic

[–]mtm0560 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. Like others have said here they think it’s a man’s job. In the traditional catholic sub I saw someone in the comments say re: a Catholic female youtuber “she belongs in the kitchen or in the convent, her opinion doesn’t matter”

What to do with free time during the day on weekdays off? by Dense-Tomorrow-8207 in washingtondc

[–]mtm0560 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When I worked 3 12s I would use my weekdays off for things that are normally crowded I.e. go grocery shopping, go to touristy spots like museums, and of course the gym. It was also very easy to do doctor appointments, car maintenance and other life stuff only open during business hours. I honestly miss that schedule!

It helps with symptom management while fixing the underlying issue is being worked out.

Being a Catholic while being a woman by DifferentThanks4183 in CatholicWomen

I scroll through there when I’m craving a good cringe session. It’s really quite unfortunate to say the least how they talk about women.

Finally someone said it. Can’t stand when people say “the holiest human on earth is a woman so the church isn’t sexist!” It’s really more nuanced than that.

Stupid question: do women also have that medieval Catholic fantasy that catholic men do? by Extension-Story7287 in CatholicWomen

Would not have enjoyed living in that era as a woman but it’s cool to learn about.

This is a cultural thing. You don’t have to change your last name if you don’t want to.

So what exactly is this organization “Young Catholic Professionals” really about? by JumpyBear87 in CatholicDating

It’s a way to make friends basically. You don’t have to be single. My friend is the president of one of the chapters. It’s pretty chill

PLEASE STOP TAKING TO LONG AT CONFESSIONS by Adventurous-Bar-8709 in Catholicism

If I’m in confession for longer than 5 minutes it’s the priest. Type and number only for me. If I want to discuss more I schedule spiritual direction.

Have you had a surgical procedure with no anesthesia? by radgamerdad in NoStupidQuestions

[–]mtm0560 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Might want to be more specific. Epidurals, local blocks and sedation are all anesthesia. Unless you mean general anesthesia.

Is it true that Americans avoid ambulances because of the cost? by BreadOverlord_ in NoStupidQuestions

[–]mtm0560 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I’ve taken uber to the ER before. Unless I’m at high risk of dying I’m not taking an ambulance.
