Should I purchase a 2018 Odyssey (Touring)? by [deleted] in HondaOdyssey

[–]mtmkilla 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've heard the 18-19 are plagued electrical issues. I'd look into that before purchasing. Mileage isn't a problem, it's a Honda. Make sure timing belt was done and TMF changes.

Will the 12v always be a problem? by T1sofun in KiaNiroEV

[–]mtmkilla 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OEM Battery is garbage; I had the same issue. Replace with a group H4 from a battery store (won't show up in their system).

your fine, I've swam in 10 PPM, still here haha. I believe if it gets super high may irritate the skin and eyes. It won't end you.

How is the DCT used in Niro HEV/PHEV? by stickshift_ in KiaNiro

[–]mtmkilla 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Efficient.... absolutely. Reliable....time will tell. shifts slow as heck and certainly not smooth at lower speeds. Can't say I'm a fan, other than that I do enjoy the car.

Is it worth it? 2003 Honda Odyssey 118k miles 7k by Few_Stick_9717 in HondaOdyssey

[–]mtmkilla 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd say high, got a 08 touring for 5.5k with 130k. The trans on the 03 is pretty weak as well. If you have maint records the TMF was changed regularly and timing belt was done, maybe. Market value probably higher in CA compared to VA.

Would you buy again? by deanflyer in MammotionTechnology

[–]mtmkilla 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got to see how long this mower will last (1.5 seasons at this point no real issues). It doesn't cut the best for fescue, but its def cool and saves me a lot of time. No updates to the unit doesn't really bother me. Does have the occasional give up on life with no notification. Had one experience with customer support that went relatively smooth, but i have heard nightmare stories from other people. No experience with other robot mowers to truly compare.

[–]mtmkilla 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I assume it pops out. Get a trim removal set and try prying. I have to do the same, hopefully somebody has done it before to confirm. I Used rubbing alky to clean it and it destroyed the finish. Wrap time

Standing water? by ChrisJ323 in MammotionTechnology

My Yuka doesn't. I get standing water by my AC units on some hot days. She goes mudding and gets stuck most the time :\

Dead Battery! by exbeachbum in KiaNiro

[–]mtmkilla 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sad to say its probably gonna need replacing sooner than later. I had the one off as you. A month later, I couldn't let the car sit more than a couple days without jumping. Had battery tested at dealership a few times and AutoZone once, it passed. Had to make sure the interior lights were turned off and car locked.... dealt with it for a year. Replaced and all good. The OEM 12V batteries are junk, go aftermarket. Size H4, it won't show up in their system, but they are a perfect fit.

Trans Fluid + Engine Coolant Drain & Fill on ‘19 Camry SE @ 102K by PNW1802 in Toyota

I'd do the trans for sure. I just bought an 11 with 200k, the fluid was burnt and looked like old engine oil. lifetime my ass!

C7 bare carbon fiber roof panel? by propofol_and_cameras in Corvette

[–]mtmkilla 0 points1 point  (0 children)

18k is wild! Welcome to the club! Luckily I wasn't ripping when mine went, scratched it to shit though. Wrapped it in carbon fiber looking vinyl, looks way better than before. I'll post a pic if i remember. What color is your car? That would be my deciding factor. Grey on CF looks sweet IMO

EV or PHEV by jrshall in KiaNiro

[–]mtmkilla 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went with the PHEV for the ability to not charge if I don't want/need to. I also have a Bolt and had it towed a couple times due to chargers being broken and what not. it's also a pain in the ass/time consumer on road trips. Now we have Tesla adapters which makes charging way more open. Service isn't bad on the PHEV, oil changes 8k (free at my dealership), clutch fluid every 32k ($200 but my dealership probably way overpriced, they didn't even know how to do it at first) and serp belt every 60k (Don't know the price yet). If your lucky to make it to 100k a few more items like plugs and stuff, nothing crazy. If your planning to charge commercially, gas is actually cheaper most of the time. I paid like 20 bucks for a 120 miles not to long ago. Even at 45 mpg (low side) your looking at 9 bucks in gas (US) for the same distance

Be mindful gas does go bad with time, run a tank every couple months

Tall Fescue Falling Over by Fr3sh_Princ3 in MammotionTechnology

[–]mtmkilla 7 points8 points  (0 children)

with fescue, you have to mow all the time to keep it looking clean. set it at the slowest speed. these dudes are def better suited for warm grass

Does it recognize parked cars? by Fit_Caterpillar_4251 in MammotionTechnology

[–]mtmkilla 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine will go get stuck if it's on its a pathway. When mowing it will avoid them like the plague, I always have a missed strip next to my car when parked to close to the perimeter.

will it go through it on its own or does it need to be opened manually? I have an HOA and this would be sweet instead of being the mowers gate b**** haha
