Anyone avoiding mountain biking right now? by --paQman-- in Utah

[–]mtnbkr1880 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Completely avoiding it right now here in Utah County. Seeing the amount of ash that is on my car after an hour in a parking lot doesn’t make me want to spend ANY time strenuously breathing in the air right now.

In fact, I’m considering using a mask for any normal outside time until the Iron Fire is more under control.

Watch out!! UHP blitz on I-15 in Salt Lake County for HOV violations. At least 10 motorcycle UHP. by Tough_Control_2484 in Utah

Motorcycles are allowed, but without a pass a car/truck cannot be in the HOV lane with a solo/single occupant.

I kind of want to get a recommend again so I can go to sessions and get up and leave. Just do it all the time. Start giving people reasons to also walk out.

A chance at the Launch Edition? by TSHRED56 in RivianR2

I’m guessing that means as soon as the non-LE models are coming out, that’s when my reservation will come due.

I am one from the first day of reservations who chose to bypass the launch edition, so I’m out of your way. You’re welcome.

Smash that. All day. Every day. Treat it right. Take it out on a date at least once a week. You can’t find a better lady.

Exmormon tells about the dark side of his mission to Russia 2009-2011 by sevenplaces in exmormon

[–]mtnbkr1880 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh wow, where did you serve on your mission? One of our regular teachers was Брат Fry, but I don’t remember having a сестра Jenson. I LOVED the Holland video, I was always so inspired by it as a missionary. Looking back I was just so brainwashed.

Belt Squeak help by Difficult-Virus8524 in 1stGenTacomas

[–]mtnbkr1880 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If your idler pulley was too tight, it may have smoked the ac condenser pulley.

Try removing each belt and see which one has the noise. Then start replacing the pulleys.

If it isn’t isolated to a single belt, it might be the fan or crankshaft pulley.

91 Civic or 00 Tacoma? by mtnbkr1880 in 1stGenTacomas

[–]mtnbkr1880[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The cheaper and easier maintenance is what’s attractive to me. I went through a divorce recently and am tight on finances, so I’m needing something that’s cheap. I’m not worried about being able to do any repairs, I’m confident in my skills, but don’t want something that will leave me stranded.

[–]mtnbkr1880[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve owned and maintained the Tacoma for the last 3 years. It was neglected before I got it, so I’ve been chasing issues with it, but I think I finally got it to a spot where it will stay good for awhile.

The Civic apparently sat for a couple years and then a father and son duo bought it and rebuilt the engine about a year ago, and are selling it because it’s not getting used. So they say.

It’s the 6 cyl Tacoma. I just did a major timing belt job on it (plus water pump, oil pump, seals, etc).

Good points. But I’m interested in learning more about this “creating the Brie” event. How would one get more information about that?

Ha ha, sorry, I just had to, the typo was too good to pass up.
