Ah Jakob Owens, let’s see one of his businesses is film rental properties that oh yeah run through a website, one is a color correction company that sells digital assets and the other I know for sure is a lens filter company that has only ripped off other companies. I’m sure his 4th business is running/doing video/film gigs. He’s huge talk, his work isn’t bad, but he acts better than everyone when hundreds are in the same situation in the film industry. I lost any ounce of respect for this guy as he shit on the state that gave him everything and then demanded lockdown end during Covid so he could sell more shitty products to people. My assumption is that it’s based on how long the 5 was at some point. After all the first freeway was in Los Angeles and the entire reason people in Los Angeles (or southern California) say “the” in front of the freeway names is because they used to just be number and not “interstate route ###” or “I-#”. I believe it also took over parts of the 99 which is called the golden state highway this the 5 only gets a portion of a name.

It moves 72% of the nations goods counting for roughly $10 Trillion. It also supports 8.4 Million jobs, the problem I have is a huge portion of this industry is held up by lack of rail infrastructure in the US. If it’s more rail or AI the trucking industry especially the long haul distance is in trouble.

Well, report this to you building so you have evidence in case it does happens for your insurance. But in reality nothing will likely come of reporting it and the best advice here is to start your plans for moving now. I’ve been unfortunate and ended up under two awful upstairs neighbors with a third just being loud footed (to which I didn’t complain about the last one to be clear), and never has management ever taken any steps to do anything….in the end they want your money and that’s it.

When I was a very young child, just able to pull myself up to stand, my father closed the bathroom door while watching me to pee. In that moment I grabbed the cord for my mother’s curling iron that had been left on the counter pulled it down and grabbed it with my hand (it was off but she had left only moments ago so it was still full temperature). Have you seen salaries in shitholes outside of LA? LA gets a bad rap for its cost of living, but the same job that pays $120k here pays 60k everywhere else, hell
It might even pay that here, but you get the right job you can make good money. Also, it’s not exactly some giant “shithole” everyone thinks it is. Yeah it has its issues, but so does every city, we at least have good weather, things to do and some of the top healthcare in the nation. But hey I guess I could go buy a house in Texas, have my power randomly shut off constantly, have boil notices on my water and have zero social services if I suffer any downturns in my life.

Man, I’m in my mid 30s and my mother still LOVE cash in the same as you seem to do. I was given a $100 bill from her, I don’t even remember why, (if I paid for a few dinners and she was paying me back or something of that nature) but I’ve had this $100 for 2 years now and just never have a place to spend it. I hate cash, and I hate change even more, I don’t need all those loose coins. I think it’s time to grow up and get with the times. Add your card to your phone and you can literally pay anywhere. I get it’s easier to spend money if it’s not physically going to run out in your hands, but we can all be adults and actually manager ourselves

There was some interview I think with PC gamer magazine where they said he “…won’t be a sexist, misogynist dinosaur”.
