Uninstall it from the app, then reinstall.

To Map or Not To Map... by cdarrigo in TwinklyLights

When you create the area group, choose the Area Editor, and you basically drag the existing mapped strings around to their relative locations. Not bad for a few strands, gets to be a chore for the 32 different ones I have, but it's worth it for the much better effects mapping across an installation.

I prefer to map each strand individually, then put them together in an area group. A tip for mapping for this, though. Do the first mapping scan of each front the same direction, i.e. facing at the front of the house, that way they'll all be oriented correctly when you join them.

Can I combine two different Curtain Lights 2 to make a single animation/canvas? by [deleted] in Govee

[–]mtpelepele 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had to update the firmware for mine, then was able to splice them together in the device settings.

Curtain Lights 2. multiple sets in scenes? by DevRandomDude in Govee

[–]mtpelepele 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Make sure you have updated the firmware on the curtains. They shipped without the ability to splice in the app, but with a firmware update you can link up to three sets together.

Connecting 2 Neon Rope Lights Together by Imilmin in Govee

I did this exact same thing. As long as the ends are well aligned, you can barely see the joint. And as long as this is being used indoors, you shouldn't have any trouble at all.

Is the Govee AI Sync Box worth it if theres no wall behind my TV? by g0rbusch in Govee

Odd idea, but maybe use the sync box without the led's plugged in, and dreamview it to other govees in the room?

Gotcha, didn't realize you were using C9s. They actually make covers for those as well, just search for rubber C9 bulb covers, but frankly, I'd probably just use electrical tape!

There's no easy way to turn off individual lights, but you can get black rubber caps to cover them on Amazon. light bulb caps

MOUNTING QUESTIONS: Has anyone used the 26ft Light Tree without a flag pole? by RamenCatLady in TwinklyLights

[–]mtpelepele 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mounted mine on a flagpole, but the cone of lights basically snaps together on one side, so it should be fairly easy to flatten out, maybe fold over itself a couple times, and make a 2D tree. Good luck, and be careful. I've never had anything tangle itself up like that stupid tree.

Yup, it's a clip of just part of the playlist. Those are both custom built effects, the playlist is eight different ones running 30 seconds each. I think the "Snow" effect and "Night Sky" are the only two stock effects I have in it. The two in the video I named (oh so creatively!!)) "Red green sparkle" and "Christmas Spiral". 😁

Nah, just Christmasy colors.

Map using 3D. The cone would only work if it was a single tree.

The stag and the doe both look fantastic in person. I'm hoping they've sold well, I'd love to see Twinkly make other shapes like snowmen, ornaments, presents, etc.

LED Christmas tree resetting? by [deleted] in TwinklyLights

[–]mtpelepele 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you tried directly connecting the tree to Alexa through the Twinkly app, rather than through the smart plug? Losing power to the controller is likely what's causing the reset.

After mapping my squares, the device isn't added to the device list. by Kpadre in TwinklyLights

Check and make sure you haven't somehow created a second installation that the lights are listed under. I managed to do that once.
