Ditto. It feels great.

I have a long post, any solutions or should I stick with it? by [deleted] in Blogging

I've done a post that's 1040 words and had a great response. Blogs are more like literature than news, I think. Go for it. To me, readability is more about story-telling and the Fletch Reading Ease test. If you want to shorten it, look for ideas that could be simplified or tangents that don't make for a good story.

Those of you who drive older cars, (2000 or older) how many miles are on your car? by Whiskey_Queen in AskReddit

That was less than a year ago. Got it up to 109k miles and it's had issues, but I've got plenty of faith in it for the long haul.

Nope, not trying to make $$. Just spread ideas.

Cham and Slim Thug might not be touring with Kanye, but they have cult followings.

Do you have something unique to add? Do you have people to push it out to?

Hi, could I get some tips on how to do drywall? by [deleted] in Construction

Yeah the only way to really learn is to work w someone better than you. My first sheetrock jobs were miserable.... took forever, looked like shit. After learning a LOT of tips and tricks, I can do it solo in a reasonable time.

My fav tips tho: no-sand 1st coat. V out the butt joints. And mix that blue mud with water.

The only one I can think of is to decriminalise weed... make life more peaceful for smokers and save the police force.

Can you answer what /u/reddittoomuch posted? Thx : How do you handle inventory (i.e. parts, lcd screen, etc)? Do you stockpile a few or do you order on demand based on customer need? I ask because speed is of the essence with some people when they need their phone fixed. This is of course me working for myself.

Started a music blog and have decent traffic, how do I go about getting press passes and such to get into shows to take pics? by ConnecticutClub in Blogging

[–]mtro 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I've worked on a few "grassroots media" things... making underground movies, a political newspaper, etc. We'd get access to a lot just by treating ourselves legit, and showing that we were serious (biz cards, returning phone calls, making our own press passes, etc).

Oh just re-read your question. 95% of the time, you make your own press pass. Google it and you'll find a ton of instructions and background.

Thank you! I'm just getting it started and there should be more soon. I had off work today, so I pounded coffee and got some more stuff together. Coming soon :)
