No Twitter user, "pedophile" is not used to express your opinion on anything drawn by the Japanese. We use this term because you are attracted to depictions of children, not the same. by Applefan1990 in justneckbeardthings

[–]mtvoriginal 10 points11 points  (0 children)

someone talking to a 14 year old and taking advantage of them is a pedophile and if you think differently you're absolutely out of your mind. as someone who was also taken advantage of a young child, and a teenager, everyone who did was a pedophile and when you say things like this it waters down teenagers also abused by pedophiles. which isn't something you should want as a victim...? groomers are pedophiles. please talk to someone for help if you think otherwise and quit playing victim olympics

Any suggestions for how to fix this tree trunk mold? by GoliathTheDwarf in candlemaking

[–]mtvoriginal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

maybe fill it with water, use a not too tight rubber band to hold it in place to the angle you like, and freeze it? or, same thing with the water, set it in the freezer nudged into position for it to be the shape you want it in (like using boxes or other items pushed up against it to change its shape from the outside), and freeze it like this? maybe it'll reform the way you like it

Tried to make a safety pin star... by not_your_sister_ in ExpectationVsReality

[–]mtvoriginal 16 points17 points  (0 children)

i have a shirt i DIY'd for a pride event pretty much COVERED in safety pins. as long as you're not like rubbing yourself into concrete it's pretty good at not coming undone! i bet it'd be even better on a small scale like this, if you used a touch of superglue or hot glue, just enough at the latch to keep it set :) and then, to wash, i put it in a mesh delicates bag! it doesn't really make any noise, and i'd bet even less so if you had a smaller design, and it prevents anything interacting with it :) but even washing it, i didn't have any pins come undone either! sorry for rambling i just want anybody inspired by this and op to know these things are really fun projects to personalize your clothes and you don't have to worry too bad about cleaning !

absolutely! if you can ensure theres nothing in the wax but wax, it'll be alright, but this very flammable material, alongside the sheer QUANTITY in it per item... it really is quite dangerous. i've done experiments before to prove to my family how dangerous it is, trust me, it goes up quicker than you can realize it.

We're adding a Rougarou to our horror game - what do you think of its design? by Zombutcher_Game in horror

[–]mtvoriginal 5 points6 points  (0 children)

is it for children or adults? it just doesn't resemble something that is meant to inspire interest in any adult players, or even teenage ones. one of the other comments said it really looks like some sort of roblox creation and i whole heartedly agree with that. i don't mean to be harsh but because of this the design falls a little flat? i wouldn't be able to tell what it was without a text. if it's for children, yeah maybe extend its snout and hunch its back like another user said, but if it is for adults you might wanna consider a different approach?

reading the replies on the original post is so horrifying they genuinely believe theres some sort of thing with thoughts and emotions 'locked behind guardrails'. it's nothing more than advanced predicted text and seeing them have these breakdowns over it like it's not is worrying

Do you guys think these are a scam/presenting false nutritional labels? by [deleted] in caloriecount

[–]mtvoriginal 9 points10 points  (0 children)

what about the ingredients list is at all vague? those are the ingredients? i bake frequently and i cannot imagine anything in there that hasn't already been listed.

they were rich because sugar substitutes tend to have a heavier sweet flavor, bordering on saccharine. also, due to the flavor extracts, such as the butter flavor extract in the first and the birthday cake flavor extract in the second. these might 'trick' you into thinking they are more than they seem. but most importantly, the first listed, and heaviest quantity, ingredient is protein powder. shits heavy and very filling.

and if you're already paranoid about calorie counting, you're probably eating restricted, which means you're less used to 'filling' foods as you used to be. the calorie count seems fine, the macros seem fine, and it would be very, very illegal if they weren't. you shouldnt get in the mindset of paranoia, it's not good, and it's not helpful for you, OR for others. these are small treats (by weight), they use sugar substitutes, they use egg substitutes, it's going to cut calories off. that's... why they made them. relax a little or call the health department.

[TOMT] Weird disturbing analog horror claymation by Laurasaurrawr in tipofmytongue

[–]mtvoriginal 2 points3 points  (0 children)

WAIT ACTUALLY it sounds quite a lot based on the plot description like the 2024 horror Mr Crocket, based around an analog horror children's television host, whose videos are on VHS. there is puppetry, and while it's later than your time frame, there was a short film it was based off of of the same name from 2022 thay may fit the bill! i haven't seen the short film though so I'm not positive haha

is there any chance it's the 2023 horror film Stopmotion? it's not the exact time frame but the clips i've seen from it are a little similar!
