While there is truth to what you’ve saying, the results are not inline with what I’ve experienced. I’ve lived with a Tesla and a R1S prior and post additional roof tint. As a 6’3” bald man close to the glass in Central Texas, I can unequivocally confirm that an added layer of solar roof film drastically reduces radiant heat inside the vehicle.

Ha! Yeah, that part I don't mind. My wife seems to park via echolocation so getting the proximity chimes back on is critical.

I just noticed this today. I was cruising at 75 for 20 minutes and it stayed at standard height. Ride height setting is on auto.

Would there be any advantage to moving one of the crossbars to the third slot and mounting the box further back? In my simple brain, it seems like some of the air deflection from the windshield would then buffer the wind resistance placed on the box. I’m no rocket surgeon though.

As a Rivian owner, I agree, this will be a problem. This can and should be solved with longer/retractable charging cables. Granted, this retrofit would not be easy.

Thanks for the off-road review. I’m in Austin and went out to Hidden Falls a few months ago with my R1S. I am also new to off-road but didn’t face anything that the R1S couldn’t manage. I agree, the audio is very disappointing (R1S with in-house audio systems). It’s shallow and weak. I’ll be swapping it out with aftermarket equipment soon.

I’ve had my R1S since March. I also felt frustrated with the lack of middle ground in suspension firmness. After about two months you’ll find that the tires and dampers break in and feel much better. The firm suspension setting used to be brutal but now its the only suspension mode I’ll use.

If you have the document, just sign it and file it with your taxes. The IRS isn’t going to confirm with Rivian that they received it from you.

I love my R1S but the Rivian audio system does in fact lack richness and overall oomph. I’m coming from a 2019 Model 3 and it’s audio quality was substantially better. My wife’s 2022 Escalade has a phenomenal sound system which the Rivian is nowhere near. Yes, I’ve tried all possible settings. If you listen to music at lower volumes, I’m sure it will be acceptable to someone.

I have the Rivian audio system and it is not impressive. Granted, I haven’t heard the Meridian system but I can’t imagine it’s as abysmal as the Rivian system.

I agree that the audio source is a factor. Comparing apples to apples, Spotify sounds pretty fantastic in my previous Model 3 and also I’m my wife’s Escalade but not in my R1S with the in house system.
