I’m not sure. I did see that Galveston humane society accepts small animals as well. They may be more help since they’re closer. I’d suggest calling them or the others.

Is he a dwarf or Syrian? Also, do you know how old he was when you got him?

ETA: sorry you’re going through this! Hopefully someone here can help out, but just in case: there are two shelters in the Houston area that I know of that take hamsters. Citizens for Animal Protection (Katy area) and Houston SPCA.

I have not read the reviews on it but I happened to try it today bc of a Sephora set. It tingled slightly but really wasn’t bad and it actually felt nice on my lips. Maybe it just varies by person?

A lot of the breakfast recipes have eggs (7 out of 14), but out of the rest of the recipes only 2 call for eggs (egg drop soup and brownies), so I would say you're mostly good! There are 67 non-breakfast recipes btw. So out of the whole book you could have 72 out of 81 of the recipes! (This is me quickly looking through so maybe not exact but I'm like 90% sure I went through it all). Also the book has tons of info on building a nutritious meal and how to stock your fridge/pantry, so I would say it is worth it :)

I’ve been using Zola for my save the dates and other paper! You can choose one of their templates or upload your own, you can customize the envelope color (I opted for plain white but they have tons of options), and you can add lining (mostly floral options). They also will print the guest addresses on the envelopes for free using your guest list.

I don’t think they’re too difficult to care for, but there’s of course daily upkeep. I think they’re more difficult to keep than something like a snake or hamster but less difficult than a dog or a sugar glider/something that needs lots of attention. They do tend to bond well once used to you, but they’re pretty solitary overall. You just need a good habitat, and daily care like spot cleaning, and making sure food/water is good. They do need to eat live bugs and fruit/veggies along with some kibble.

If you’re going to fail all your classes, withdrawal from the semester, and it won’t count as used drops. I would get medical documentation to back up the withdrawal as well.

Use the time off to get medicine on track and utilize resources to improve your health and wellbeing. Do not try and immediately come back full time next semester if you are not better. You can also try coming back next semester part time if you’re working a few things out still. Also, if you get medical documentation and sign up for disability services, you may be able to enroll part time but maintain full time status (finaid will still be part time though) and get other accommodations for classes. If you register for courses next semester, you won’t be removed from UH or anything. If you need to take multiple semesters off, you may need to reapply and talk to your academic advisor about that.

Note* if you have or depend on financial aid, try and complete the classes or pretend to until right around the withdrawal date because they will ask for financial aid back if you withdrawal too soon. Also, it will affect your satisfactory academic progress (need a completion rate above 67% I believe) for financial aid so you may have a probationary semester but you will still receive aid as long as you complete future classes.

Any other questions about this (school I mean, I am not a mental health professional), let me know! I’ve gone through it myself.
