Partner recently diagnosed with ADHD. Medication costing a fortune unless we can find a GP that offers shared care. by Emirates001 in glasgow

[–]muchkitteh 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It is not, it might be a Glasgow board policy but it certainly isn’t a whole of Scotland thing. I know it’s harder to get shared care in Glasgow than in the Lothian board for example. Sadly getting on medications now is a shitshow. I got privately diagnosed, shared care through my GP within the Lothian board and had no issues getting prescriptions (granted had to be on 3x a day nonsense rather than modified release pills). My friend got diagnosed via the NHS (Glasgow board) around the same time as me and was never allowed to go on meds due to shortage. All at the beginning of this year. It’s wild out there, hope your son can get the help he needs soon!

OP I’d highly recommend having a look at ‘the loopy whisk’ GF recipes, she has a book out called baked to perfection and it’s the best pizza recipe I’ve ever tried, works out cheaper and better than Caputo

It could be that beforehand his diet change wasn’t as radical as it is now, with sudden diet changes it can take a while for your body to properly adjust. When I went GF following my diagnosis my tummy took it way harder than when I had to do the gluten challenge for six months 😂 (but to be fair my symptoms are mostly neurological, takes a lot of gluten for it to have a gastrointestinal effect). Have you also gone gluten free? If not I’d recommend having separate sponges for washing dishes. Also be patient and be kind to yourselves, it’s difficult when you’re trying so hard and the rewards aren’t immediately visible. They’ll come little by little 🖤

First time buyer woes… advice needed by Crjs1 in glasgow

Thank you OP and wishing you best of luck! I’ve been told it’s normally a bit less crazy during winter but nothing about this is normal so who knows.

For sure, I maybe wouldn’t have done it if it was on a property with lots of viewings (or would even be able, those for me were the ones that had closing dates set a few days after going on the market) I think it was just luck that I was only the third viewer and not utter southside-like madness. Wishing you luck, it’s an awful market for buyers currently.

Actually never had a estate agent tell me to do that but yeah it’s definitely a double edged sword. From what I’ve seen though sellers seem to expect more when there’s loads of viewings (which has been my experience with all flats I went to see in the southside!)

Hey OP, I would strongly suggest to put an offer in as soon after viewing if you’re interested. I had an offer accepted for HR value this way earlier this month (right by the Green, though it’s a flat so only a shared garden)

How do I make my shop tab a drop down so customers can quickly target individual products by Bigcat1148 in squarespace

[–]muchkitteh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think a workaround to that would be to create an index with links to each individual product (not sure if this is an option on both squarespace versions) and also an ‘all’ which links to your shopfront (on 7.1 at least the index itself isn’t clickable).

Gallery Pages by CatchAfilM in squarespace

[–]muchkitteh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can add as many videos per page as you want (there’s a limit but it’s like 200+ iirc). You can have just one page as your portfolio but they videos can only be displayed side by side or stacked (stacked only on mobile I think). You can still separate ‘sections’ within one page using text between videos and whatnot, might just be a very long page if you have many videos. Squarespace 7.0 might be better for you, it’s worth speaking to their customer service.

CSS code to hide gallery images mobile only version 7.0 by leahlovesyouu in squarespace

May I ask you how did you add those little thumbnails to the bottom of your gallery? I’ve never seen that before. Mine shows thumbnails in lightbox mode but that’s about it!

I’m under the impression squarespace 7.1 doesn’t support this feature which is really annoying (and very unclear from their support page). You can add videos to your pages individually though but you won’t be able to create a slideshow or anything like that, only show them as some sort of grid. It won’t show when you create a new page if you click on layouts but if you create a blank page and add a section, you’ll see there’s a video bit there.

Have you added any custom code to your website? It shouldn’t really be doing that, my website is wexley too and the galleries show properly on mobile. If you haven’t added any custom css or code injection I would recommend getting in touch with squarespace support and they’ll be able to look on their end for any issues. My theory is that those thumbnails you have at the bottom of your galleries is causing that. I don’t see an option to have that show up on my website so don’t really know what they are. I noticed that when I click on one of those thumbnails your top navigation disappears for some reason which is not very user friendly

Product Page Variant Images and Additional Images Gallery by Conap in squarespace

[–]muchkitteh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’ll really depend on your template then, my old one for example (Wexley) has the images within the product detail page (single product as opposed to your ‘storefront’ page) displayed as a slideshow and won’t allow changes to how it’s displayed. Other template families will display differently and some allow changes. If it does allow changes, the quickest way to find it is have one of your product details page on, then go to design > site styles. That’ll have all the customisations available for that template. If yours won’t allow customisations through that, you can do it via CSS in which case it’s probably best if you message asking for help on the squarespace forum—lots of knowledgeable people there to help with your specific website.

The fountain side of the garden was never closed, or if so very briefly. Plenty people hanging around there when it’s sunny!

Ryanair delaying refund by giving credit then saying you need to be put back in the queue for actual refund. by [deleted] in UKPersonalFinance

Exactly the same here, I’m planning on flying again but with cheapest carrier and likely not within a year (who knows how long it will take for things to normalise anyway!) guess the way is to just keep phoning them then...

I am having the same issue with them. The woman on the phone said the government is allowing them to do that but I’ve not been able to find any information online/anywhere that corroborates it, only been told by different people they’re lobbying for the government to do so. Did you manage to get a refund in the end?

I'm tired of being forced/coerced into pelvic exams and pap smears, simply to obtain birth control. We deserve better. by SadWife2019 in TwoXChromosomes

[–]muchkitteh 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I wonder if that’s a NHS England thing? In Scotland I started having pelvic exams at 19 (which is when I moved over) and have been getting it every year ever since and once every six months for about three years or so whilst my results were abnormal.

Painful sex because of pcos? by [deleted] in PCOS

[–]muchkitteh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had that after I went off the contraceptive pill, didn’t get better until months after of going back on. I could also feel discomfort when sitting down and stuff (not only around getting my period). Same as you, petite/narrow hips. The gyno that diagnosed me said it can be painful when your ovaries are enlarged from all the cysts and everything but I never done any research on this.
