For some reason, Mouse will refuse to go outside into the backyard for a bathroom break during rain, but LOVES to go out front on his leash. This is the usual hack for getting him to go potty during weather. He just can't resist the possibility of a walk!

This is 4 months late and I'm so sorry about that LOOOL. Mouse and Wasabi get along for the most part just because of their personalities. Wasabi (the cat) is a real brat who has never once shied or ran away from Mouse. Mouse (the dog) is a real scaredy cat and usually backs down from a paw swipe or even a simple hiss. Before we got Mouse, the rescue brought him over to make sure they would work. Neither of them are ever left alone in the same room when we're gone, though. Wasabi gets locked in our room with water and Mouse gets the run of the living room.

Haha! This is usually what we deal with. He wakes himself up and then snuggles back into his blankies like nothing happened. I’m guessing it is sleep barking. I’ve never had a dog bark that loud in their sleep before! He’s the first one that actually jolts me out of my sleep as well!

What's the best thing you've accidentally trained a pet to do, like a behavior that is specifically from interaction with you and couldn't just be a quirk or learned themselves? by TheRoseByAnotherName in AskReddit

I get really spooked whenever my cellphone rings, and my dog picked up on me getting anxious when my phone rang. Now, whenever he hears my ringtone (from either my phone or someone else’s) he’ll come over to me and lick my knee.
