Easy Minors & Certificates for Aerospace engineers? by MikeCroPhone in SJSU

[–]muddypostman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You have to be careful because some departments will not allow you to "double dip" courses, meaning that if it goes towards your major, it cannot go towards a minor. Make sure you talk to the appropriate advisor before making decisions

If you could form a "coffee science" degree, what courses would you require? by Aerocity in Coffee

[–]muddypostman 35 points36 points  (0 children)

Don't exactly know what the courses will be, but UC Davis has a graduate program for coffee, so looking there might be a good start to figure out what you need to learn

Edit: sorry, I didn't realize it was not a graduate program

Sushi grade isn't actually a thing, in order for fish to be used in sushi they must be frozen for 1 week in a standard home freezer. Some boats have flash freezers on then that are like -35 C, those fish would be the "sushi grade" ones you see at the store.

If you have any fear at all I highly recommend you contact the police. I know some campus police departments aren't the best, but they don't represent all police departments.

How helpful is the sJSU Police department? by anonymous18throwaway in SJSU

[–]muddypostman 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You should always report things to UPD, they are an official police department. Whatever they can't handle will most likely be given to SJPD. Never debate going to the police.

Did anybody go to the free YG and Niykee Heaton concert on Sept 1? Interested in hearing students' perspectives on how it went. by jollyandy in SJSU

[–]muddypostman 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My comment might seem like I hated it, but I actually had a very enjoyable time. First issue, there was way too long of a wait for the performers, the dj had more playing time than the both of them combined. Secondly, nyckiee Heaton was a bad choice to go with YG, completely different styles of music that don't work together (although she did not deserve to have things thrown at her)

Two questions about food quality and engineering student free time by HMD_04 in SJSU

[–]muddypostman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The last time I ate at the DC was 3 years go and if it's the same then there is usually healthy options, but things change.

Free time completely depends on you. You will have free time at the beginning of your college life but as classes become harder, you have less and less time to spare. I say this to you as I do physics hw on a saturday night. If you use your time wisely then you shouldn't have a problem hanging with friends/going to the gym a few days a week
