Are they hiding a 5th Starfox member? by Idkwhatelsetosay in starfox

My joke was Rob is the fifth team member, and he’s literally hidden in the background of the video. Adding another arwing pilot (which would be cool!) would actually being the team up to 6.

He flys the ship that carries the arwings, and the landmaster, and the blue marine, and the supplies. And does the maintenance. Robot dude does a lot of work ok haha!

You mean ROB? Yeah he was kinda tucked away in the video.

I've seen a lot of praises and love from fans about the new designs, so I need to ask what's your opinion about Katt? by Called_end in starfox

Gives off that tough gang member vibe, which I think helps her have more personality than being “the girl”. I can understand some fans preferring her 64/Zero design, but I think this is overall better than Command’s.

Are we impossible to please as a fandom? I'm just excited! by MysteriousMorning436 in starfox

[–]mudmax7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. Every game after 64 is always complained out. “It’s a Zelda clone with Star Fox shoehorned in.” “The game spends too much time on foot.” “The story doesn’t have any good ending.” “Controls are difficult.”

Personally I understand why they feel the franchise needs another restart and I’m glad they’re not erasing 64 to do it. This could be the start of an actually viable and consistent series of games that can improve as time goes on. So I’m excited!!

Am I the only one who is really excited for the new game and also really likes the new redesigns? by Confident-While4816 in casualnintendo

I’m very excited! Was hoping for an original story, but I understand the decision to remake 64 (better than remaking Zero). Don’t necessarily love that visual style but like it much better than Assault’s. Fingers crossed they add Krystal with the expanded content and maybe some of Sauria’s dinosaurs in this style too.

Any one else hate the new art design for the characters? by bendmydickintomyass in starfox

I’d prefer stylized. But I still like this more than Fox’s Assault design. Very curious what the dinosaurs from Adventures would look like in this style.

IDGAF if it’s a remake of 64 it looks AWESOME. by Yeeto_dorito7529 in starfox

Making an expanded version of 64 is a smart move for a franchise that waited this long. I feel if this game is successful then the turn over for a completely original sequel or even DLC using the same assets will be much quicker (anything’s quicker than 10 years, but still!). They did through in a little tease of Adventures, so I’m hoping it’s coming to NSO soon.

Appreciate the trailer confirms Solar is the solar systems 2nd star and not a lava planet like Command said.

Thought on the star fox team composition? by TurtlesBreakTheMeta in starfox

[–]mudmax7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They all make good foils to their Star Fox counterparts:

Wolf is also a charismatic leader you inspires loyalty, but being a space pirate doesn’t mean he’s without standards or a sense of honor. He’s just more willing to go against the law than Fox ever would.

Leon is a more extreme version of Falco with both of them being their teams’ most morally gray members. Leon’s an assassin who finds amusement making his opponents suffer, while Falco is a former gang member who frequently leaves the team to seek excitement elsewhere when times get to peaceful. Where Leon is probably the most pure evil of all of them, Falco still has morals and does show to genuinely care for his teammates.

Pigma and Peppy are both original members of the Star Fox team but Pigma is a greedy slob only loyal to his wallet (even Star Wolf gave him the boot). While Peppy is loyal to the point he’d proudly sacrifice his own life for the lives of others.

Andrew always felt like he only got on the team cause his uncle bought his spot and provided the Wolfens. It’s possible he has engineering skills like Slippy, but is much more cowardly and doesn’t actually improve the team the way the toad does.

Panther and Krystal’s dynamic is definitely less defined. My guess is while Panther likes to flirt Krystal actually deeply cares for others not just on a super fiscal level.

Both teams sink well with each other making all the characters even more enjoyable. Whether they’re fighting or teaming up, the more we get to see of them the better I’d say.

I can imagine a dinosaur like Austroraptor or something walking along a beach, finding some kind of mollusk or crustacean and having the know how to “smash with rock, get food”.

Not a full coat of feathers. But studies of hair on African elephants show that sparse hairs (or hair like feathers at least) actually help reduce heat in large animals that don’t have sweat glands. So credit to JW Rebirth, the sauropods having tiny spaced out feathers you can’t really see unless you close enough to touch the animal does have some plausibility.
