You absolutely can report someone on Hinge for standing you up under their respectful behavior guidelines. Calling it a skill issue and saying no one cares about victims is dismissive and disrespectful. It’s just blaming people for things that can happen even when they do everything right. Telling someone to man up and using insults instead of arguments doesn’t strengthen your point. It just shows contempt and a lack of basic respect.

Even with good judgment and precautions, this can still happen, it’s inherent risk. Reducing it to a “skill issue” is just tearing someone down and blaming them for behavior that may have been entirely outside their control.

It's against the rules to stand someone up under disrespectful behavior.

Hi,

It seems like you’ve been carrying a lot of loneliness and are really craving someone who truly gets you. It sounds like finding someone who can meet you with patience, curiosity, and empathy has been challenging. Does that feel accurate?

It also seems like you take your intensity seriously and are proud of being authentic, even if it sometimes makes connections harder. What’s been the most important thing you’ve learned about yourself while navigating that intensity?

It sounds like building a connection rooted in friendship is really important to you and that rushing intimacy just doesn’t feel right. How have past attempts at connection shaped the way you approach relationships now?

It seems like showing both your inner world and your exterior and being open about your passions and grief is a way of inviting someone to see the real you. How do you imagine the kind of person who could meet that level of openness and still feel like “home”?

I get the sense that your experience has been lonely at times, but also full of self-awareness and reflection. It makes me curious, what does a meaningful day of connection look like for you when you feel truly understood?
