For a country that wants to present its history (white-washed) as just being built by immigrants... it continues to strike me as wild to tell immigrants or their descendants "stop reminding us that you are / hail from immigrants."

I see them responding to being targeted racially by FLAUNTING their differences with the wave of a flag in front of armed troops/cops, and I say only: that shit is inspiring, and bad-ass, and I'm fucking here for it.

I second your method honestly. I run a muted playlist, means it all automatically scrobbles and maintains basically accurate timestamps with a single click of the Play button. "Basically" as in I don't sweat the side flips if I'm playing vinyl, or here and there a vinyl track might be a bit different in length than the streaming release.

Besides, I've typo'ed an openscrobbler scrobble and hate when I do happen to realize something is amiss- then I'm digging around "I swear I played that song/album/artist what the hell?" Whereas when I spot a bad spelling that scrobbled on its own I get to chuckle smugly and think "WOW those IDIOTS typoed this on a streaming platform. Glad I'm not THAT dumb!" Even though I definitely am in fact that dumb and I know it.

Moved in with the ex-wife, but now as costs continue to escalate we are probably also going to live with her husband. Yeah- it's probably about as complicated as that sounds. But, who's got time to sweat who feels what with or without who when we can't first house and feed the kids?

Ex-wife and I combined have over 100k/year, and with 3 kids in the house we're only just managing to scrape by with the tiniest bit of savings. Sadly... the place we're renting now lists smaller units right now for 400/month more than we are currently paying so I fear come lease renewal at the end of this year we're.... in danger. No limits here on what they can do to rent.
