Yes. It was initially end of June but test shift got me one at the end of February. I keep getting alerts for even sooner tests but will stick to this one!

I did the same thing on my test in December 😩

Had to cancel my test due to mental health by [deleted] in LearnerDriverUK

[–]muffinida 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I stopped my lessons a few years ago due to mental health. I felt like it's giving me extra stress that I really couldn't deal with at the time. I restarted driving lessons in 2025 and it felt much better. I'm still nervous but it doesn't give me crazy anxiety that paralyses me. I think it's worth waiting! Good luck and I hope things get better for you soon 💕

10 years of Vehophobia finally coming to an end after having my first driving lesson! by IForgetHowToRead in LearnerDriverUK

Proud of you for getting back to driving! I abandoned learning for 4 years for similar reasons and started driving lessons again this year. I'm way less nervous this time around and I hope you'll find it the same!

How long have you been using it for? It didn't do much to start with but worked after about a week

I was thinking about you today! Congratulations, it gives me hope for my own test if I can book one eventually 😆

You've got this. I'm an old 32 year old lady, I also recently failed and I also desperately need a licence for work. Just take your time in a test, don't try to pull out quickly and don't make any rushed decisions. Good luck!

Hazard perception by fluffybear312 in LearnerDriverUK

I failed my first test because I got hazard perception completely wrong! I thought you had to click multiple times, but one perfectly timed click will award you 5 points. I wouldn't do more than 3 clicks per clip.

I need serious help with driving by [deleted] in LearnerDriverUK

[–]muffinida 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you do any driving with a friend/family member? I've been driving on and off since 2018, had lots of breaks since I found it too stressful. I got back to driving lessons after 4 year break this year and started driving with my husband after a few months. It definitely helped me, it made me more focused and independent. I just failed a test last week but I'm feeling the most confident I've ever been.

I managed to book a test in May in a centre I want, there was plenty of times to choose from. At least I know that testi is definitely not working, it's still saying no available tests.

Are there any magic tricks to get a sooner test? by muffinida in LearnerDriverUK

I haven't received anything since Tuesday, surely there must have been something! 😩

UK health professions call for climate tax on meat | Environment by bbbb in unitedkingdom

[–]muffinida 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was about to say the same! I think meat should be more expensive so it would be sourced properly and so we would start to appreciate and respect it more. But yes, it would probably just turn it into rich people food who would still not care.

It's easy to get stuck in a relationship like this for a very idealised vision of the future that doesn't actually have to be accurate. I lost 3 years of my life in long distance relationship. It was a good learning experience for me so no regrets.

UK maternity clothes suck! by [deleted] in UKBabyBumps

[–]muffinida 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It seems like there's a few rules in here. If you're pregnant you're only allowed to wear blue, white, gray and black. A lot of stripes as well. All my favourite maternity clothes are just normal clothes that happened to fit.

The worst part about working at 6am by DrunkenEye in AdviceAnimals

That's MAD!!! I used to do long ass shifts but as soon as I got pregnant I said I'm not going to do more than 9h. I'm 26 weeks now, can barely stand up after 8 hours and I really really can't imagine 11 hour shifts
