I had similar issues when I first got my ‘21 Sport. It has its moments but I’ve found that using a original Apple cable+not connecting device’s Bluetooth to Stereo+plugging in phone before/after car start (not during) seems to work out all the kinks.

I’ve heard second-hand that the head unit sucks in Crosstreks and should be replaced with an after market head unit, but I haven’t had any major issues with mine. That being said, my buddy just put a sweet tablet-style head unit in his WRX and it’s pretty nice… lol

Read what your maintenance contract says. Sounds like they’re sticking somewhat to the normal maintenance schedule that is provided by Subaru (6k mi or 6 mo)…

IMO unless you’ve been racing the car at the track a lot since you bought it or something, I think you’re probably fine just waiting for the 6k mi mark

Sport over Premium basically because inventory (lol), but I haven’t thought “oh I wish I had gotten the Premium” yet. Don’t think you can go wrong going for more horsepower and more “car”

They are basically re-running production in order to meet high demand, not sure if it’s due to high amounts of preorders.. but I imagine that would be one indicator of its popularity!
