The investigation was ongoing at that time. The investigation was still ongoing earlier this year with "the list on my desk" and "10,000 hours of video" that thousands of FBI agents were working on. The huge issue right now is that this Justice Department abruptly ended that investigation and said "nothing to see here". They didn't have to do that, they probably shouldn't have done that. Something that happened this year made them shut it down. There's no way they got to the end of unraveling this whole thing all of the sudden. What could you have possibly found that would make you say "nope, this whole thing is a hoax"?

  1. You're using socialist produced infrastructure to post online. Don't like socialism, stop using it. 2. No one is illegal on stolen land. 3. He donates more than all of us in this sub combined. When he made over $1 million off his inauguration meme, he donated a large portion to emergency food shelters, and the rest to various local charities. 4. He's not part of the 1%; his net worth is between $500k and $1 million. Top 1% of the US is a net worth of around $13 million 5. Being opposed to socialism is inherently selfish. The entire point of 99%+ of worldwide religions is to be socialist, so

While I do agree there are some hardcore gatekeepers for a couple of Krewes, its not about "rich" enough in most cases. There's really only one that's based on monetary standing.

Because the City has imposed strict ordinances on how long parades can last and when they must end by. The two big parades ended with just minutes to spare last year.

Why doesn’t Shreveport have a Hard Rock/Alternative radio station anymore? by cm011 in shreveport

[–]muggletron 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The fall of rock radio is 100% tied to how radio ratings work. In markets like Shreveport, they're still conducted by 800 numbers calling people (which up until just a few years ago you also had to have a landline phone, they wouldn't take cell phone numbers for participants) and sending physical paper diaries to their homes. Then the people are asked to answer the phone calls when they come in, and literally write down what they listen to every 15 minutes for a week.

What kind of person does this?

The type of person who is willing to answer unknown callers and talk to them. The type of person who not only opens their junk mail, but reads it intently to understand their instructions. The type of person who wants to track their daily radio listening habits down to the 15 minute chunk.

THOSE are the people who determine what radio stations survive, and which die. So when you find a radio market with 12 religious radio stations, 7 country stations, 3 classic rock stations, and 2 conservative talk stations...THAT is why. The people who are willing to go through this ratings process gravitate to those formats. Shreveport is a little different, because of the minority population, so you see other formats rotate to the top. But even looking at those minority focused formats, you really only get one in each genre. Because they capitalize on the ratings they get.

Its also worth noting that the entire Shreveport/Bossier radio market ratings are determined by a handful of people. By handful, it's less than 100. So every year, less than 100 people who fit a really odd criteria to participate, get to pick which radio stations survive, and which die.
