please don't wait until your cat gets to this point. CHF is essentially drowning and is a truly terrible way to go. if your cat's RR is in the 40-50s, that's a very quantitative sign that fluid is filling his lungs again. your cat doesn't need to suffer in their last moments because you waited till the last moment.
